The location was brilliant, on a quiet street close to the pedestrian centre of Lille.
It is a 4 guest room B&B in a 140 year old town house - but what rooms and what a house. The décor was faultless and the standard of cleanliness up with the best we have ever encountered - anywhere!

Our stay at La Maison was all and more than we expected. Much has already been said by others- but this B and B is very special. Luxurious, spacious, spotlessly clean, and the owners and hosts look after every need. Breakfasts were generous and filling- you wont really need lunch! We were picked up from the station in Denis' London cab- and from that moment we were offered the highest standard of service and care. Thankyou Maison- we loved our stay. This is a small B&B, a beautiful, very comfortable house with friendly attentive owners, who are English-speaking. The house is kept very clean and tidy. Easy to find, overlooking large park/citadel, yet accessible via the old streets to the heart of the city.Very relaxed atmosphere - more like staying in someone's home. Large, light, spacious room and considering location, quiet. Art and décor modern and bright.
Gave my daughter (who was not staying) breakfast with us complimentary on both days, which was a nice bonus!
