Our room was on the fourth floor (small elevator worked well). It was bright and airy with full length double-doors that opened onto a small balcony overlooking Rue de la republic. Outside festival time this is a very quite area of town - Lovely helpful staff in reception. Simple self service accommodation. Small kitchenette with kettle, coffee maker, electric hob, microwave and fridge. Warm (our visit was during cold weather). Comfy bed. Local shops for groceries and meals. If you want service (we didn't) then don't stay here. If you want a comfortable, clean, simple, base for exploring Avignon and its environs for a few days it's secure, convenient and good value.

  I was very pleased by the friendly and helpful staff at this hotel. The location is ideal - in the old city within easy walking distance of the Tourist Bureau and many nice restaurants and cafés. But what most impressed me was how helpful they were when I had a sudden medical emergency which led to several days in the hospital. Very good mattresses and pillows. Good breakfast and excel - We really enjoyed this hotel. It was close to everything and Michael at the front desk was extremely helpful. If you don't like Michael, you probably don't like people. He was great for info and anything we needed. We always enjoyed our interactions with him. Room was spacious, a bit dated, but the building itself is very fitting for the town. Not 5 star, but a very nice place. Loved the location. Room was clean, just needs an update is all. I would stay here again.

  The lady on reception was very helpful. A good basic hotel for the price, especially at Festival time in Avignon. The walk in to Avignon was unexpectedly pleasant with a cycle track running beside the river. Location is also pretty good - right near the train station and 10 min walking to the very center of town.
