While the location isn't near the main tourist attractions, it is very close to Tolbiac metro. The area is local and not overpriced, adjoining Chinatown. The young gentleman gave us the room from early morning rather than going bac - I had a very nice 3-night stay. Don't despair, some of the best bakeries in Paris are all within a two block radius of the hotel and McDonald, if you can handle it, is right next door. Only 4.5 ks from the Eiffel Tower & the same from the louvre. Probably one of the cheapest hotels in Paris.

We were particularly impressed with the staff. Guillume and Jennifer, who manned the front desk, were outstanding. They always went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. At the buffet breakfast, Lore managed the breakfast room with efficiency and good humor. We also enjoyed the non-touristy neighborhood, which has lots of little shops and cafes and is conveniently located near transportation.

It's a fairly short walk from Montparnasse train station and an even shorter walk to the closest Metro. Our room was small but comfortable. The large, clean bathroom was lovely as was having a separate toilet for once! Friendly English-speking and helpful staff, breakfast delivered to the room, nice and clean rooms, good bath; my room had a great balcony to sit in and breath the city air.
