  This is basically a backpackers hostel, and although I wouldn't consider myself to be in this particular demographic, it seemd to tick all the right boxes. The location was fine, with good access to restaurants, tours etc. Facilities were generally clean and tidy, wifi ok, plus pretty good spoken English by the front office staff. On day 1, we had... wat mensen zeggen » a late-arriving flight into Guilin, but our group of 5 were picked up on time by the hotel driver and delivered in no time at all at a cost of about - We were so surprised when we arrived in the Riverside. It was very cheap so we weren't expecting too much. However, we had a lovely spacious room with a river view. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The food was delicious. We couldnt have asked for more. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. It was very close to the night market and the bus station.

  The hotel is located at the walking street in the center of the city. It is a very busy street, with lots of clubs open late at night. But we got a room that was not facing the street, so it was still nice and quiet in the evening. It is walking distance to most attractions, and the staff was really helpful.

They helped us find a river tour, and the guy even drove me to the airport (which was very far away)--I paid him to do so, but it was cheaper than a taxi would've been.
