  The place was clean, tidy and very well organised. The staff were extremely accommodating and could not have done enough to help you ie the manager drove us to a pickup point for us to join our ski trip at 0700hrs in the morning as we had a lot of luggage. This was all part of the service according to him and he did it with a smile. Would have lov... wat mensen zeggen » ed to stay longer as the Hostel had a real nice feel about it. - The owners Gerald and Abbie live in the hostel and take extra care to keep a high standard of comfort, care and extra service. I prefer them over anything more ritzy but where the owner is never on site so you are neglected or just a number.

  The room was cute, had a small kitchen, and the building was very old and interesting. The location was nice and safe. We parked our car in the driveway of the hotel off street for free. The hotel is near some pretty parks and is only about a 25 minute bicycle ride into the main part of the city.   We arrived fairly late and had a bite to eat and a drink in the pub downstairs. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Beds very comfortable and quiet during the night. We had been concerned about city noise but was very peaceful! Restaurant for breakfast was wonderful. Great food, service, price and decor Was just a night stay, but woul... wat mensen zeggen » d definitely stay there again and have recommended the restaurant to my family fwho live in Victoria. - I really liked how they stored my suitcase before check in so I could do my work and same thing after I checked out. I didn't have to pack my luggage to a business meeting. Also the convenience of the location being right downtown Victoria almost next to the museum and archives was a tremendous bonus. I liked how they put me in a room on the 14th floor which gave me the best views ever.

  Ok People are freaking out way too much about this hotel, probably travellers who are looking for a luxury resort for very little money. The place was clean, had good staff, and cheap. I got a king size bed, all to myself :P The staff at night was awesome and made sure everything was safe. I think people complaining that there are homeless people.....listen they are not evil they are just people going through a rough time - The rooms, although old, were very clean and comfortable. It was within easy walking distance to tourist attractions. The gentleman on the desk was very friendly and knowledgeable about Victoria. An enjoyable stay!
