  The staff was excellent--hip, young, friendly, canadian (gotta love the friendliness of Canadians!!). The place was small but that made it quicker to heat up on the cold days we were here.   We loved the "social" part of the hotel as guests were very comfortable and would hang outside and everyone was so friendly to one another. Was very motorbike friendly and everyone felt welcome. This motel was better than a few we had stayed at over our 2wk vacation and we are glad that we got to see Chemainus town itself what a lovely town.Bed was comfy, fridge worked, tv great, tea and coffee machine worked.   The staff were very friendly. I booked last minuted, so the renovated rooms were unavailable. The room we did stay in was lovely. Simple, and you could tell that they were beginning the updating process. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Definitely good value for the money. - The owners are the staff.   I liked the price and the fact it included free wi-fi. The staff was very friendly and I was suprised at how quiet it was. It's an older motel but very well kept. I think the small number of units gives it a very intimate safe secure feel. This is the second time I've stayed there.   Good facilities and good view of harbour from Hotel. Bar-b-ques abundant relative to number of rooms. Well tended garden area with hot tub outside. Useful kitchen facilities and supermarket only 5 minutes drive away. Enjoyed our stay on Quadra island. Need to arrive at ferry a little before if catching 8 or 9am during week. but just look out you... wat mensen zeggen » r window to see how the queue is developing. - Location right by the ferries was good, I liked the use of a Propane grill to cook on, It was nice to have a pool and hot tub, and it was close to a pub and restaurant.

  The wifi is weak.... Others are good. - Friendly staff, I was able to check in ahead of time. Checkout is 11 am, which is very nice. A liquor store is in walking distance, which gives you a chance of enjoying a stay the dark rooms with thin walls.
