  First impressions do not do justice to this hotel. I booked a junior suite because of the great price and found myself with a spacious, quiet, comfort room overlooking the garden/terrace. Just be aware that the hotel is built against the side of a steep hill, so the garden is actually up several flights of stairs.   First of all, the owner. She's by far the friendliest host I've had in a Hotel: she works hard to make you feel comfortable and relaxed and she helps you to enjoy your stay at Veliko Tarnovo.
