  The location is just perfect. It is right in the center of the old city center (upper city). A perfect location to explore Salvador. The area the hotel is in is newly renovated and is safe to walk around freely during days and nights. Staff speaks really good English and are extremely helpful. We went for a professional capoeira show in the evening just about 5 minutes from the hotel – supposingly one of the best in Brazil. - The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk. Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.

The breakfast was delicious. - the staff is polite and gives you all the information and the attention a guest needs.The position is good just close to the "farol" and beaches and restaurants.   The manager was very friendly and helpful. The location is good, away from the central bustle and noise of central Pelourinho but near enough to fall part of it.   Our overall experience in Salvador was amazing due in no small part to Pousada Redfish. From our personal welcome by Charles, the owner, to the helpful stuff, including Felipe and Martos, to the amazing breakfast each morning, Pousada Redfish is a true lodging gem. Showers were always hot and with good water pressure. The in-room safe was indispensabl - Redfish is quirky in the best possible way: the artwork, the indoor jungle garden. It's small so you can get to know other travellers. The staff is helpful but not intrusive. The breakfasts are wonderful. Salvador can be a bit daunting so it's good to be just on the edge of Pelhourino but only 5 mins walk downhill.

  the hotel is very close to an area with some nice restaurants and bars. the staff was very helpful, they have an afternoon soup for a snack. ocean is right across the street. but there are better locations with better beaches. we just took the bus or taxi to them. - The staff were all very helpful and made every effort to help when possible.
