  We just loved our stay. Everything was made to make our stay lovely with small attentions. For example we were on honeymoon and when we arrived in our room, there were red petals on the floor, a bottle of local champagne and some fresh fruit in the room.   We where a bit uncertain where to stay in Salvador given its reputation of not being the worlds most secure place... This Pousada is located about 15-20 min walk from the Pelorinhou which at first glance (we arrived late night) may seem a bit insecure. But that impression was wrong, the walk to Pelorinho is beautiful with interesting buildings and... wat mensen zeggen » also feeling secure (of course avoid walking after midnight). We preferred staying a bit outside Pelorinhou as it is much calmer here. The pousada it - location is safe and very pleasant, just few minutes of walk to Pelourinho. rooms are clean and have a very pleasant atmosphere. tasty breakfast on terrace was a very nice start for a day in Salvador. Zelina (the owner) was very helpful. they also offer transport from the airport.

  This place is a real gem. No one could visit and not appreciate the care and thought that has gone into the design and attention to detail, especially in the bay-facing rooms, with their balconies and spacious, comfortable rooms. This was a genuinely laid-back stay, with all needs catered for and a delicious breakfast freshly-prepared each morning... wat mensen zeggen » . We spent plenty of time in the pousada (guest house) simply relaxing in the huge lounge downstairs, with its paintings and shelves full of books. H - Love it, love it, love it.  You have to make this your base for Salvador.... Stunning place, really nicely decorated with every detail thought about. Super friendly staff full of lots of tips and hints about the town.  It is the love and attention they put into everything which shines through -  arranged a super friendly collection from the airport, welcomed with a fresh juice, room upgraded,  Great breakfast.thank u for a wonderful stay.

  The staff was great! Natalia and Rodrigo helped us book tours and were overall, extremely friendly. The breakfast was delicious. - the staff is polite and gives you all the information and the attention a guest needs.The position is good just close to the "farol" and beaches and restaurants.   The owners (a friendly Brasilian/French couple) are really super!! They are punctual and caring for their customers. You will receive plenty of good tips from them and they are polyglots. We liked the location in the center of the old Salvador, it's easy and within walking distance of all interesting seeings. Don't miss the local folklore dancing spectacle (in only 3 min. walking distance from the Pousada) and the street band in Pe - Nice location, nice view from the room. Great personal,, actually the European owners are so welcoming that you forget every negative detail about the city or your trip. They give the best advices, arrange airport transfer and nice chatting in many languages which you may not find in elsewhere in Salvador. They try to find solution for all special needs.
