The location being in the historical centre:Pelourinho. The rooms were a good size and tastefully decorated, also a good sized bathroom. Views from the rooftop bar, the complimentary caipirinhas. Small but nice swimming pool
Wi-fi was rather erratic, the scrambled eggs at breakfast could also have bene warmer.
Staff very warm; friendly and helpful, atmosphere beautiful and calm, beds and rooms extremely comfortable, very quiet, breakfasts among the best I've ever had, very convenient location, bar overlooking shipping lanes and sunsets. Great caipirinhas. Wonderful! An oasis! Highly recommended!

Fantastic location, right in the Pelourinho. Beautiful large rooms, great restaurant, and the best staff/service during our trip in Brazil! Casa do Amarelindo also has a rooftop bar with views over the bay, and a cute little pool to take a refershing dip after sightseeing. Highly recommended.
the hotel staff went above and beyound, supplying us with everything we could wish for, nothing was too big, one of the best places we have ever stayed in, and best of all an abundance of great advice as to what to do and where to go in the area, really fantastic
The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk. Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.
The one negative about this hotel is that it took several minutes of running the water for the hot water to come up from the pipes in order to shower which wasted a lot of water.
The location is just perfect. It is right in the center of the old city center (upper city). A perfect location to explore Salvador. The area the hotel is in is newly renovated and is safe to walk around freely during days and nights. Staff speaks really good English and are extremely helpful. They even recommend attractions and shows which can be visited/booked. We went for a professional capoeira show in the evening just about 5 minutes from the hotel – supposingly one of the best in Brazil. The hotel is in a brand new renovated old house with a beautiful view to the harbor. The rooms are large and beautiful. It is a typical boutique hotel with maybe 12 rooms. Someone with a lot of style and a good eye for details is running it. It is extremely clean and the serve good snacks and dinner for a very reasonable price. The pool is clean, but rather small (I don’t think there are any other hotels with a bigger one though in the city center). They call it Caipirinia pool themselves - and this is exactly what you should use it for – They have fantastic Caipirinias and a good selection of Cachacas. Background of our trip: We stayed in Salvador to explore the city. Basically we did a lot of site seeing, explored the beaches and shows. We are a couple in the mid 30s and did a 3 weeks trip across Brazil. Generally we stayed in 4 star level hotels. This hotel was one of the best of our trip. Go for it!

It is a beautiful boutique hotel, richly decorated and kept immaculately clean. Service was excellent, breakfast was varied and plentiful. The owner and staff went out of their way to accomodate and help us.

The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating. We arrived before 7 am. They invited us to complimentary breakfast, food is awesome, then they held our bags until check in while we toured the city. Quality property, well maintained. Rooftop pool and views are awesome as well as the location.
That we didn't have time to stay longer.
Loved the decor, the elegance yet coziness, the location in the heart of the old city, the service provided by the owners and the staff.
