Neat and comfortable place with a friendly staff. Not too far nor too close from downtown and all its events.
Don't expect too much luxury though.
While the place is nice, the cost-benefit isn't that favorable. Unfortunately, that applies possibly to all other hotels there, Campos do Jordao is ridiculously expensive in July due to the Winter Festival.
