  All front desk staffs speak good English. Since this is a business hotel, rates on the weekend was cheaper than the weekdays. Use a yellow taxi if you go to tourist spots. They are honest and you pay by the meter. I used a car service that hotel offers when I visited steel plants that are far from the hotel. It is safe near the hotel. People outside the hotel don't speak English. - Great location if you want to hang around in Lapa. Very close to the metro station so you can easily go to Copacabana and Ipanema as well.   A quiet and beautiful place with only 8 rooms, but they are big (almost 10 persons could take a shower together) and with a gorgeus view on the Guanabara Bay and the bridge Rio-Niteroi, with Suger Loaf and Down Town, Rio, in the horizon. I stayed there with my husband and my baby just for one night (unfortunately) after a long flight arriving in gig. If you look for a bed near the airport this is a good option, because there are not too many hotels around. You can take the yellow cab to reach the po
