Secure parking and friendly staff all contributed to a great weekend's accommodation.   Didn't know the Ridgemont existed until I found while searching on line, a little secluded but close to most things around the city. My wife and I had an upper level room for 2 nights, brilliant view, great to sit on balcony looking out over Strand and Maggie Island. Good value. Requested 6 meals, 2 x 3 types,(on a night meals not usually served)... wat mensen zeggen » and was very pleased with service, quality and quantity. Great view from dining area. Didn't get around to utilising the pool, spa or BBQ are but the - Proximity to The Strand, a credit to Townsville Council. Room was clean and neat. TV needs replacing soon, screen pixelating continually. Reception staff (owners ?) were very helpful with directions.

Gave us keys to two rooms to compare prior to checking in so we could see for ourselves which room was better. Great location and parking at door. It's now my 'place to stay' in Townsville which I go to a few times a year. Have already booked a 2nd stay in 2 months time.
