The staff were so friendly and helpful and our whole experience was just wonderful - we actually enjoyed our room more than the Pink concert we came down to see!! The room was clean, stylish and comfortable. Dining was excellent but note dessert is all four desserts.

  The location was excellent we had a wonderful time and was very comfortable with our cabin. I highly recommend for anybody to stay right in the heart of the major vineyards. We fully intend to make it an annual stay with them - It was quiet and secluded worth beautiful views. Yet it was in the centre of everything in pokolbin. Peter was so,obliging and when we could not get a pizza delivered due to bad weather conditions, he prepared a beautiful cheese platter for us! I have visited Hunter Valley previously and have to say this Guesthouse is one of the top stays I have experienced. Beautiful decor with attention to details, Thistle Hill grounds are stunning, breakfast very tasty with great choice of food, and Carol's baked pears just delicious!! We will definitely come back later this year.

  Fantastic place to stay with such a gorgeous room. The bed and pillows were so comfortable we wanted to stay forever. The vases of flowers were exquisite in our room and in the communal dining room. We were greeted upon arrival with homemade cookies by the owner.   My wife and I spent two wonderful nights at Splinters while exploring the many wineries in the Hunter Valley. Their very comfortable and well appointed lodging is situated right in the middle of the many excellent boutique wineries in the area. Having only three rooms and two self contained cottages it is very relaxing, quiet and pampering. Bookin... wat mensen zeggen » g ahead is a must and is handled very efficiently by Bobby the owner who will also send on a number of excellent recommendations for the best restaura - Bobby the proprieter met us when we arrived and showed us the room and explained the property. She recommended and booked a restaurant for dinner (and lunch the next morning). The fireplace was already to go. There was cheese and crackers, brownies, breakfast supplies, wine, port, chocolates and a coffee machine all there included in the price. The place was beautiful and the outlook peaceful.
