The concierge staff & in particular Troy gave invaluable advice on how to get the most out of your trip to Sydney. The hotel had been recommended to us & it surpassed all expectations. - The hotel design is unique, the situation to shops, retaurants, Darling Harbour, OperaHouse,buses, trains etc. is convenient. The bed was fairly firm, certainly better than 99% of other hotels.The concierges were extremely helpful too.When the sign to service the room is placed on the door, one's room is cleaned etc almost immediately! A very pleasant stay!10 Out of 10!

  My husband and had only booked a standard room. We had been so looking forward to the weekend away for quite some time as my husband never stops working. Our weekend did not start so smoothly (I picked my husband up from the airport and 5 hours later after having our car towed back home we arrived in a taxi at the hotel). The staff was always extremely polite, not a fault with the staff. Personal service. Attentive. Love the French accent with most.

  be warned if you are expecting the hotel grandeur and modern and packed with guests, this hotel is not what you are looking for. However, the intimate and cozy feeling, plus the fine elegance of the deco all offer a nice and comfortable stay. As for the dinning selections, plenty touristy and less-touristy ones are around. Extra note - We stayed in the Deluxe King Room for 2 nights. Above all the staff were courteous and always made you feel welcome and as if we were regular customers to the hotel.   The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was spacious, well appointed and had a balcony. It was cleaned and serviced every day. Location was very convenient to CBD, transport and shopping. The staff was lovely, very polite and attentive and I thoroughly reccommend Oaks.   Arrived Saturday afternoon so as to attend an even Saturday night. The hotel is in a great location, the apartment is spacious and has everything you might need, it is not super luxurious but is perfect for a city trip. We had afternoon drinks and nibbles in our loungeroom/kitcheb, took a refreshing swim in the pool which was great before gettin... wat mensen zeggen » g ready to go out. When we got back, the room was quiet and comfortable and I had a great sleep in. All in all it was a great little unit, felt like - The reception staff were marvellous, and extremely helpful. My visit to Syd was to attend hospital appointments and it was a great relief to me each day to know when treatments ended I was going back to my lovely comfy room where I could just relax. I will definitely stay there the next time I have to return to Sydney.
