  Wonderful hotel with pleasent and helpful staff. We stayed in a 1 bedroom city view apartment and the room was large and as the pictures portrayed with a full kitchen and large fridge - much better than some of the other Oaks hotels I've stayed in, and the view was amazing. We didn't want to leave! Definitely going to stay here again on future hol... wat mensen zeggen » idays. - Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was excellent, so close to train and tram stop, and walking distance to so many different places of interest. Awesome cafes across the street for breakfast! Rooms were very quiet, and the city views amazing. Upgrade to a premium 2 bedroom apartment was real bonus and very much appreciated!

  We were smack bang in the middle of the city so location was excellent. Easy walking distance to most things we were interested in visiting. I found the staff friendly and polite. My daughter visited us on this trip and we arrived back quite late one night to the Hotel and the staff were extremely accomodating in allowing her to stay the night wit... wat mensen zeggen » h us, which didnt end up happening in the end. Based on this alone I would defintely stay here again. Value for money a definite. Alice's was lovely w - This hotel suited us exactly it had all we needed for a short 3 day stay in Melbourne. Close to shops theatre, art centre Fedration Square and public transport. Bed was comforable, room clean and fresh, bathroom was new with good shower and loads of hot water. The cost of a three night stay was incredably inexpensive for its central city position. Not a luxury hotel if you want spa baths etc. but most definitely a good quality hotel for travellers who want a bit more than backpacker budget hot

Reception staff were very friendly, room was spacious with comfortable chairs and a low table as well as a desk and chair. Bathroom excellent. It was quiet overnight and I slept very well. I was leaving mid-afternoon so made use of the available 'left luggage lockers' at the hotel, a real bonus. - I have stayed at Ibis many times and the staff are always wonderful both reception & room staff. I had a back injury this trip and when I checked in David on reception was at my room shortly after me with a bucket of ice for my back & would not accept a tip but wished me well in my recovery. These acts of kindness & excellent customer service are definitely remembered & appreciated.

  The hotel suited our requirements perfectly. The location was good, the staff were exceptionally helpful. The beds were so comfortable. Even loved the fact that there was a bathtub which meant we could soak our weary feet and legs after a good day out and about. - Have stayed at Rydges 2009, 2011 and now 2013. Also good spot with everything close and taxi's always out the front to take us to the races/ Will be back there the next two weekends.

  This apartment included a full kitchen which I didn't expect - even a dishwasher, oven & Microwave. My husband was ill on the day we were leaving and the staff allowed us to keep our room for longer (free of charge). They also allowed us to store our luggage until we were ready to leave. - The location was perfect. The hotel facilities were good and because we wanted to make dinner in our room, the staff had no problem bringing up some more sauce- and frypans. Overall a good experience.
