  Locatie is prima, aan de rand van de (winkel)stad, vlakbij Victoria Markets. Je loopt zo de stad in, echter buiten de drukte ervan. De gratis tram (circle line) stopt op de hoek van de straat. Ten minutes walking will get you into central Swanson Street. The friendly greeting from the receptionist when you enter the hotel sets the tone of the place. Registration is quick and easy and you get directed to your room. My room was facing the gardens and whilst not especially big had more than enough room for me. First impressions of the room were a well presented and spotlessl - The staff were superb. Everyone, from the people on the desk to the cleaning staff to the people in the restaurant at breakfast time were polite, helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make you feel welcome without being 'in your face'. The breakfasts were very impressive with a great choice of fresh, delicious food and coffee made to order. The fresh fruit platter was an unexpected, very appreciated highlight on arrival. The room was quiet and clean and very comfortable (great bed). We

  I feel like I'm staying in a living museum when I'm at The Hotel Windsor. That's what I love most, as an anthropologist. I love the spaciousness of the rooms. I love the pillow menu - what a treat! I liked the fact that they had a system in place that allowed guests to use the same towels if they wanted to in order to save water which is great. What I would have also liked to see is a recycle bin in our room so we can put our aluminium, paper, cardboard, plastic and glass.

  Arriving on a delayed flight into Melbourne via Sydney from Hawaii, we expected all sorts of problems upon arriving very late at the Somerset. However, I must complement their staff, in particular Paul Dale, who were very helpful and understanding. I commend them for the service, the spotless room and the central location. Bob Langridge - i like there are lots of electric and home appliances, like microwave oven, washing machine, stove, etc. There are shops and supermarkets nearby thus cooking in the room is very convenient esp. my mother is a vegetarian. It also near the melbourne central, queen victoria markets. And many tourist points can be reach on foot. (If you don't mind to walk)

  The hotel suited our requirements perfectly. The location was good, the staff were exceptionally helpful. The beds were so comfortable. Even loved the fact that there was a bathtub which meant we could soak our weary feet and legs after a good day out and about. - Have stayed at Rydges 2009, 2011 and now 2013. Reception staff were very friendly, room was spacious with comfortable chairs and a low table as well as a desk and chair. Bathroom excellent. It was quiet overnight and I slept very well. I was leaving mid-afternoon so made use of the available 'left luggage lockers' at the hotel, a real bonus. - I have stayed at Ibis many times and the staff are always wonderful both reception & room staff. I had a back injury this trip and when I checked in David on reception was at my room shortly after me with a bucket of ice for my back & would not accept a tip but wished me well in my recovery. These acts of kindness & excellent customer service are definitely remembered & appreciated.

  The staff were fantastic, they couldn't do enough for you. The room was spacious and very well appointed. They location would be great if you had plans at one of the sporting venues and although you were 2 blocks from the North/South tram routes, there were East/West trams running one street either side of the hotel. Thoroughly recommend this hote... wat mensen zeggen » l, especially if you like a bit of room to spread out, a couch and table to sit on/at, rather than having to lie on your bed all the time. - Amazing staff, especially concierge who always greeted us warmly and helped us with our twins. Very accommodating and sympathetic to our needs for our 6 month old babies. Well furnished rooms/suites for amazing value. Best location - just around the corner from flinders lane where lots of good restaurants / cafes located. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel - particularly for the price we paid!

  We were smack bang in the middle of the city so location was excellent. Easy walking distance to most things we were interested in visiting. I found the staff friendly and polite. My daughter visited us on this trip and we arrived back quite late one night to the Hotel and the staff were extremely accomodating in allowing her to stay the night wit... wat mensen zeggen » h us, which didnt end up happening in the end. Based on this alone I would defintely stay here again. Value for money a definite. Alice's was lovely w - This hotel suited us exactly it had all we needed for a short 3 day stay in Melbourne. Close to shops theatre, art centre Fedration Square and public transport. Bed was comforable, room clean and fresh, bathroom was new with good shower and loads of hot water. The cost of a three night stay was incredably inexpensive for its central city position. Not a luxury hotel if you want spa baths etc. but most definitely a good quality hotel for travellers who want a bit more than backpacker budget hot
