Prachtige kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Locatie dichtbij Gorges voor wandeltracks maar ook dichtbij centrum.

Location - walking distance to town
Room is located at 2nd floor but building has no lift. Carrying up of luggage is a hassle.
Location, helpfulness of staff. Lovely apartment.
No wardrobe space in 257. Not good for those who have problems with steps.
Parking rooms class. Location Great atmosphere
Cant complain
Close to city. Easy to navigate to attractions outside the city. Clean and comfortable. It is close to The Gorge.
Location, staff were ok
Internet was a little expencive
proximity to gorge and waterfront, good parking
no in house restaurant, door locks needed 2 hands to open, annoying when carrying luggage
Extraordinary location, must be the best in Launceston. It was like staying in Rapunzels' tower, with a view of the towering stone cliff behind and over the town in front with the Gorge a few minutes away. Take advantage of the cheap motel prices and go for a 1 bedroom tower apartment.
Poor fit out, everything looks awkward and poorly designed. No spare towels - staff did provide them when I asked though.
The interesting buildings, the atmosphere that created in the room. The closeness to the places I needed to go. The obliging and helpful staff at reception.
The little shower in my room.
Reception staff were helpful and friendly at all times. Location was excellent and very comfortable room and good hot shower.
Walking distance to the centre of town Rooms were clean and comfortable
Staff at front desk could have been more welcoming.
Central location and very clean and comfy
Rather noisy due to road noise
Loved the ye olde feel about the place, friendly staff, nice cosy rooms
Bad reception for the TV but that's not the hotels fault
The location is very good, just minutes away from the gorge. The triple room is very spacious. The hotel/ apt is a historic building. It was us pleasant experience to stay in this 19th century building.
nothing.
The hotel is perfectly situated very close to the gorge, a walking distance. The room had everything we needed, including cooking facilities, free parking and was very clean and comfy. Definitely reccommended. There is also a guest laundry room.
nothing
It was a great hotel and I definitely recommend it! It looked really nice from the outside with a old style and it was perfectly maintained with a new style inside. Great location next to the river, gorge and walking distance to town. The staff was really nice and helpful as well.
nothing!
It had loads of character
Kitchen was not very well equipped.
Fantastic location for walks to Cataract Gorge and around. Loved the authentic olde world setup. Friendly accommodating staff.
Shower head a bit too rustic kept falling down and scolded turning off. Traffic noise intrusive but overall minor gripes in an otherwise very enjoyable stay.
Unique style of the hotel, close to excellent restaurants and coffee shops, very nice rooms.
The bathroom.
atmosphere
spiders++
Great location
Stairs up to apartment
We had a room in the tower which was big with a nice large lounge area. The bathroom was big and there was a nice view.
i am really like the apartment style, the building looks really traditional and historical and good view as well. it was quite at night.the hotel offers everything you need. it also near the restaurants about 5 mins driving.
very near the catarac gorge, staff is very friendly. it's my second time to leave in this hotel. good feeling remains
the rooms 235 of twin rooms looks very old style and there is no heater in the bathroom and the bathroom is small.
The beautiful buildings and close location to Launceston sights. Great check in and check out process.
The blinds - it would be great to have black out curtains on the rooms facing street lights. It felt a little like it was day light all night. But apart from that it was great!
I really liked the decor and design of the room and the bathroom which were very clean and modern. The extras like the soap and complimentary quality toiletries were great in the pump action bottles thoughtfully mounted on the walls. I just love staying there and will do so again when we visit Tassie.
Easy to find, good location with lovely rooms
The location and the atmosphere of Leisure Inn was fantastic
The cleaning needs to be done more thoroughly (e.g. bathroom/shower wasn't very clean)
Authentic, rustic design
A little noisy through thin walls
First impressions: how beautiful, on checking in which was really pleasant and helpful, on entering the room all I can say is that it was just spotless and all you could want. Lovely housekeeping staff always will to help if they could.
I would have like to have a cafe there for breakfast, plus have Wi Fi there at no extra cost. apart from that nothing else.
Location
Loved the convenience of being so close to the city centre and yet also close to the river and beautiful gorge. Having the kitchen in the unit was also very handy as we had teenagers to feed. The history of the Penny Royal added to its charm. Staff were friendly and helpful - they replaced a faulty bar fridge quickly once reported.
Nothing to report
Clean & comfortable with all the basic necessities.
Rooms were a bit dim. Lighting on stairs could have been brighter.
I was very surprised at the standard of this accommodation for money. Don't be put off by the lower price. Rooms were pleasing - clean, new bedding, modern luxurious bathroom, blended with a nice old world feel, making it less sterile than others. No worn out feel about this place, either. Will book again when next in Launceston. Shuttle to airport was prompt and fast.
Restaurant and bar is no longer operational. There are many close by however, so was not a big problem.
hot water , well insulated studio so not too cold .Towels changed regularly .Proximity of city and shops , restaurants etc
Wished the windmill could be restored as the gunpowder mill . Update of penny royal world + windmill restaurant
tasteful, simple furnishings. Comfortable
Position - close to Cataract Gorge walking track and the riverfront. Also close to town centre. Old heritage building but quite comfortable.
Lugging our bags up the stairs.
location
because of our age group the staircase was bit hard to handle
Cleanliness
Noisy traffic in morning and not told about no food now until arrived QUestion two as were two business people working together and that is not an option on your survey???
Traffic Noise. Noisy water pipes.
Have stayed many times at Penny Royal. Represents good value for money. Rooms are generous size.
Location was very good. Layout of units was great
Internet signal was not very good and was far too expensive. Overseas most hotels offer free wifi.
comfortable, clean easy to find, close to the city
Liked the situation, the appearance, staff were friendly; cleaners excellent. Location perfect.
Hotel to offer more convenience items- coffee shop/cafe- know can walk but when you first arrive not sure of bearings. Instant coffee in room is not to every ones taste... Bottled water would also have been nice if only for first day. We found the rooms a little noisy, but then we do live in the countryside- no cars, bikes etc
unique accomodation
staff a little abrupt in manner but helpful all the same
Self contained. Location. Economical.
Heating could have been more efficient
The restaurant was closed for refurbishment
The rooms were very good. The olde-worlde feel of the timber beams and the heavy doors was memorable and kind of cool.
The lady checking us in was very bossy and seemed stressed by the fact that our booking was for a party of 5 instead of 4 (we did it online and all was accepted there).
old world charm, nice atmosphere.close to town
My partner and I ALWAYS stay at Penny Royal, its quiet, good size room, lovely bathroom and close to everything we want to do, what more could we want. Will we go again, DEFINATELY, we are booked in for early January 2014 and cant wait!!!!!
