We came as a group and booked both the "mansion" and the "coach house". Both were amazing - old houses on whose land I guess the other motel-like units were built. The staff and restaurant and restaurant staff were fantastically friendly and helpful. And the food especially at the restaurant - we had dinner - was some of the most delicious my partner and I ever tasted. And the view of the Derwent river was also brilliant. The ducks came right up to our back door and we could feed them. It was so peaceful and adorable.

Although this motel is a fair way from the city, there are bus stops nearby so the heart of Hobart is only a mere ten minutes away! My room was clean, warm and the facilities were all there. for lovely b & B's elsewhere. Certainly wouldn't want to
have paid any more for this room type. Good parking availability.

Very close to city. Even closer to Botanical Gardens. Very cheap. Parking at the motel with extra security door from outside. Our room had a kitchenette with fridge, sink and microwave. There was also access to a kitchen if you wanted to do more serious cooking. The room had a fan and a heater. Laundry facilities. -

The staff was amazing friendly. We booked very late on the same night we were staying and ended up showing up after office hours. They not only let us in, but after realizing the room we had booked was not cleaned, upgraded us to a better accommodation for no extra charge. Can't express enough how thankful we are. -

Karen and Roger are lovely, friendly people who are very passionate about their property, recycling and their garden. The rooms are atmospheric and there are some relics such as the toilet and claw-foot bath / shower. Very cosy and warm. Their is a choice of breakfast items and the bread made lovely crunchy toast! -
