  From the time we entered the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The renovations really gave you the feeling of being back in the 1920's with plaques giving you little snippets of the history of some of the rooms. Tours were also available. The food was wonderful and in the original dining room of the school. The Hotel is steeped in history, and has been restored to reflect a bygone age. The food is superb, and there is an extensive beverage list. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

New, modern looking from the outside and a great location near to everything in town. Reception staff member (sorry I didn't get her name) was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Likewise the staff on checkout were the same. Stayed on fifth floor with a great view over the river. The room was great and spa excellent.

  Due to travelling in separate cars my husband arrived at 8pm, however due to weather conditions I was severely delayed. The staff were helpful informing my husband of road closures etc. When I got there at 5am it was easy to find our room - the layout of the motel was not complicated. The motel is located right by the old highway, thus easy to reach, and nicely nowadays not very noisy when the new bypass takes through traffic past Ballina. Good efficient two way air-con, gave the needed warmth during the cool winter night when we stayed there
