  We are a couple from Mexico in our fisrt trip to Calafate. We found Hosteria Meulen wonderful and clean. Hostesses were very nice and always worried about our satisfaction.   Everything was really good. Staff friendly and speak perfect english. They helped with bus arrangements.They were informative about the trekking options in the area.. which brings us to its perfect location near the beginning of the trekking path to mount fitz roy.. also close to many restaurants, local pyb and trekking tools hiring shops. The hotel provides lunchboxes for hiking, one is enough for two people. Location is excellent halfway between two main trailheads, within five mins walk of most restaurants.

  Friendly, helpful staff ( especially Adolfo ) who made sure we had everything we wanted. He even called the tour operators and helped book our day trips. Rooms are spacious and clean . View from the room offers a magnificent landscape of Andes, snow covered peaks and a turquoise lake which is huge!

  We LOVED this hotel. Its like an oasis of luxury at a good price. Room is spacious and comfortable, with heat in both the room and bathroom. Bathroom is large and spotless. Service is also great. Breakfast buffet is good. Location could not be better, 30secs to the main street of El Calafate. - It was great... location, rooms, amenities, cleanlin... wat mensen zeggen » ess and the staff. I would rate it as a 4 star. Recommend ;) The staff were very accommodating to my last minute requests
