  We loved staying in the Santa Monica Apartments. The log cabin was really cosy and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed our delicious breakfasts which were brought to the cabin each morning. It's just round the corner from the main street in El Calafate so really conveniently located. The service was exceptionally good. Yenifer organised our excur... wat mensen zeggen » sion and bus tickets in no time at all, gave us lots of knowledgable advice on what to look out for on the rest of our trip in Argentina, and was real - The staff was very helpful (boat trip bookings, last minute. restaurant reservations ...) The log cabins are very cozy, warm and well equipped. Breakfast was delivered to our room very early in the morning as agreed (not very much, but delicious).

  Accommodation was more than adequate. We were sharing with daughter and son-in-law and we were pleased with the space and equipment (except kitchen equipment - see below). Having breakfast delivered daily at or about the time specified was a real bonus. The hotel have a very good facilities, including a small chicken.

  We LOVED this hotel. Its like an oasis of luxury at a good price. Room is spacious and comfortable, with heat in both the room and bathroom. Bathroom is large and spotless. Service is also great.   Service is wonderful, owner friendly, breakfasts are great, and the packed lunches that are offered for sale here are huge - incredible deal. We stayed a second time after a trip to el chalten and it felt like coming home.   I must say this hotel could not of been better as far as taking care of us. When we needed extra nights they worked hard to let us stay in our same room. The last night we had to move across the street and they let us walk over and still enjoy their fabulous breakfast!!! They made sure my husband had Gluten free as well.   The host was wonderful and very helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area. She also told us about an excellent restaurant. The room is clean and comfortable, everything is modern and looks new. The kitchen area was useful (especially when one evening we wanted to eat something else than lamb/beef). I would recommend this place to anyone. - The person who received us in the hotel was very nice and helpful. The installations were adequate for the price, the internet was surprisingly fast, and the satellite television offered an enormous number of channels. The location is also very good, close enough to the main strip so everything could be done on foot, but far enough so we wouldn't be bothered by the crowds that fill the city center.
