  I loved the seclusion of the location. It was truly a "walk in the woods" and great place to explore on the bicycles that were provided. The breakfasts were plentiful and beautifully presented with fine china. It was the highlight of my day to enjoy a leisurely morning on the veranda. We spent a lot of peaceful time on the verandah, viewing wildlife and using very high speed wifi. The decor may not be to all tastes, it is unique so if you don't like the photos online, don't go. We loved its quirkiness!

  Staff was very nice - unit was really clean and had all amenities. It was really a little apartment w/kitchen. Found it expensive as it wasn't really water view (far away from unit). - The marina was nice. The restaurant Alure was also nice.

  Shelter Island and the Pridwin were exactly what we expected and wanted for our first vacation in almost 7 years. The hotel is not what one would call luxurious or fancy, but the perfect picture of a quaint, comfortable vacation destination.
