I travel a lot for business and normally dont write these reviews. But
the place was just great value for money and you could feel the the
runing management cared about their place and customers.
I arrived at 11pm and the parking lot was filled with cars. The lady who helped me offered other parking paces at the back of the building, but before I could consider it, she said let me pull out my car so you can park in front of the motel.
The hotel room itself is not fancy, but the quality is very . tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
I was in Santa Barbara w/ my two teenage daughters for a few days. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was larger than most for the money.and had a microwave and fridge. Susan, at the front desk was very warm and knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat. We would stay at The Agave again.
It was a no-frills place; very simple, very clean, kitty-corner from one
of the best French patisseries, a Gelson's, a bank, and a great
independent bookstore. While we were not downtown, there were still many
restaurants within walking distance. The place was very clean.
Enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was very nice. I liked how simply everything was. It was exactly what I needed. Very relaxing as well. Loved the location and being able to walk to close by shops, restaurants, and bars. I hope to stay there again.
The Agave Inn was a wonderful treat in every way. Susan at the front desk was very gracious, the room perfectly clean and decor super cool. Location is great. $1 bus across the street takes you downtown.$10 cab ride back. Loved it there!.
Susan was very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room was very clean and well equipped for our needs. It's a short cab ride/bus ride to get to the centre of Santa Barbara so was pretty convenient and the price was good.
Certainly the best motel we stayed at during our trip in the USA. Wefelt more like in a French 'chambre d'hôte' than in a motel!
If you're looking after a cosy and payable motel near Santa Barbara: don't miss this one!.
helpful staff and easy access to downtown Santa Barbara if you has a car. Lots of wonderful dinning selections around the inn, and the guest's manual in the room gives very good suggestions. good value.
Room was very cozy, had a nice vibe to it. Also the maid was very nice. The location wasn't too far from downtown and the beach, about 10 minutes down state street. Overall it was a good stay.
The modern and updated bathroom, Flat Screen TV and lighting added greatly to the value of out stay. Based on our stay, we booked the Agave Inn for our return trip through Santa Barbara.
Room was one of the cleanest seen on our trip. Bathroom was recently updated and lots of hot water, recommend it to those who want to save $. Very basic but extra clean. Good location.
A perfectly clean and comfortable motel type hotel. Perfect for a weekend trip in Santa Barbara. The breakfast scones and muffins were a nice touch, it made the breakfast more gourmet.
The unique, fun and tasteful decor. The cleanliness and comfort especially for a value hotel. The nice staff. Fridge and microwave in room.
Service deeply moved me.
especially the kind lady who accomodate us that night. It's a family feeling. btw, the room style is what we like.
Simple motel experience. Drive car right up to door. Amazing french patisserie, italian restaurant and sushi within walking distance.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Really pleasant
Rooms very nice and clean, property well kept
Excellent value for money.
Contemporary furnishings, spotlessly clean, very helpful staff, lovely whooshy shower. Some nice restaurants very nearby.
It was very cozy, I felt like I was at home. Simple and pretty. We stayed an extra night because we loved it so much.
Cleanliness of the room, staff were very friendly and informative of the area around, even gave tips on where to go.
clean, easy to park, small, nice hotel managers, mom and pop feel, not over the top, simple, good location, simple.
The Agave is very quaint. The room was just what I needed, comfortable, clean. The staff was friendly.
very clean and renovated, especially since it's possibly the cheapest hotel in Santa Barbara.
Convenient location, affordable rates, remodeled bath, flat screen TV, fridge and microwave.
Was clean and will setup
Staff at check end was informative and gave good rec. for dining.
Gute room design, clean. Super friendly and helpful staff. Free good speed WiFi.
Very pleasant staff. Clean and nicely decorated room. Very good for the price.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.Valued their recommendations.
Really nice staff, cute kitschy little motel, reasonably quiet.
Good price and clean bright room. Friendly, helpful staff.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms. Good value.
Acceptable budget motel. Small, but comfortable room.
Nice, clean, cool, Ikea-chic. Very nice staff.
Very clean and comfortable, very kind stuff.
Very clean, reasonably priced, free wi-fi.
Good clean room, comfortable, great value.
Cleanliness, friendly staff, comfortable.
Very friendly staff, gave us good tips.
clean, well located, economical.
Friendly, helpful staff.
Decor and Cleanliness.
Staff are amazing.
Great Service!.
Price, clean.
Clean.
Compactness, cleanliness, easy and close parking. Reasonably quiet at night. No swimming pool, thank goodness. Walking distance to restaurants.
Very cheap. The room was small but pretty comfortable. It's ok for
one night.
Good size suite. Easy access. Quaint and friendly feeling.
Very large room, nicely decorated, good location for food.
Excellent food at the Japanese restaurant two doors up.
Room was creatively decorated & clean.
Nothing much... I guess the breakfast is pretty simple and set out on
a desk infront of the reception, but I dont care too much about these
things and at the low price I paid, I dont even expect breakfast to
be included.
The continental breakfast offered coffee, oj, and pastries. It would
have been nice to have access to tea, hard-boiled eggs, and a place like
a patio to sit and eat breakfast (but the patisserie was across the
street, so we went there with no problem).
We could only 2 nights!!.
The bed was not the most comfortable bed but ok for one or two nights.
It was a bit pricey.
Room was small And our freezer packs didn't freeze. Motel was more like one from 25 years ago but adequate for one night.
The orange juice for breakfast is the worst I've ever had, it is undrinkable. Please pick a different cheap orange juice because this one was horrible. This is my only complaint, so not bad at all!.
The distance to downtown.....it's a 3 mile trek to the beach, and over a mile to the beginnings of the shopping area. If you are like us and like to explore a town on foot it limited us. Bus is an option....we just didn't use.
Room was a little small.
We had the room closest to the street, which we found noisy.
Wifi was a bit patchy.
A fair way from downtown & the beach - we enjoyed the sunny 1 hour walk and there are buses or places to park in town but just be aware of the distance. Breakfast very basic (tea/coffee, small fruit and muffin selection).
Parking was somewhat difficult.
didnt feel that private since its a motel.
Room was small, HVAC unit noisy and next to bed, some State Street noise during traffic hours.
Shower facilities, though functional, felt very old and dated, didn't match the fell of the rest of the inn.
More parking spaces needed.
Very small thing....Bathroom could be improved by having shelf or cabinet for personal things.
Loudest a/c unit we've ever heard in our lives. Might as well have been a truck idling across the room...
Location in State street several miles from main shops and pier but price reflected the location so ok.
Lack of enough parking places.
Room was noisy as very close to the street, but for just one day it was okay for us.
Would have preferred a hotel a little closer to the restaurants and shops.
Parking is difficult and limitted.
Modest continental breakfast.
nothing.
Lack of Parking & Small TV.
Very small rooms, street noise.
Cheap in refurbishments.
On the first day room was stuffy and unventilated, despite the fact that the air conditioner was running. Poor ventilation throughout. Heavy daytime traffic on State Street. Parking very tight, although there is parking on adjacent lot after 6 p.m.
City appears to have many homeless people (not the fault of the hotel).
Quite far from Downtown (you need to go by car). You can't really
call the breakfast a breakfast (but actually we were told by the owner
the night before).
No closet. Clothes rack was situated in odd are and was flimsy. Bed too
closed to room door.
Was quite far from the beach and we missed complimentary breakfast as we had to leave early.
No coffee or tea making facilities in room.
Should be priced at $70 a night; motel not hotel; towels thin and
terrible; morning breakfast really lame.
