I liked the location and the staff was very friendly. I especially liked the person who prepared breakfast every morning he was very friendly and very professional and the food was fresh and hot. He made sure we had everything we needed. Conveniently located. Staff is very welcoming. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Price was very reasonable compared to other local hotel rooms. the bed was very comfortable.

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent. price and location were great. Nice room. Deco!. Nothing much...much better accommodations at some Choice Hotels for the same price range. Location was near shopping area. Location appeared to be a safe environment. I liked the location, and the indoor pool and fitness center. not much really,close to richmond intl raceway. The rooms were very nice but the hallways needed painting and the carpets needed to be cleaned or replaced. The hotel is large and is older but otherwise very clean and it looked as though they had renovated the rooms, pool and reception area so I am sure the hallways and elevators were probably next on the list for updates. First impression. Grounds need to be manicured. Gives the impression the hotel is understaffed and owners have cut spending in maintaining the outside. Inside hotel is a bit dated but clean and tastefully decorated. Rooms are comfortable. TV's are older but work great. there was no fridge in the room. The elevator didn't work well and there was no cable television. We went for a nascar race and the road to get to hotel was closed due to traffic from race. It took us an hour to get back to hotel because of road closure. It was the weekend of nascar and there ran out food for breakfest. They had a flyer a small menu for lunch and supper in the front the dinnig room but there where no boydies there. But the rest was ok. The hotel rooms look nothing like it's pictures. There were holes in the walls, wallpaper was coming off and it wasn't the cleanest. The bed was nice but too soft for my taste. The carpets were extremely dirty in my room. The cable was out in the entire hotel during my stay which made for a long boring stay. The internet was complimentary but everyone was on it due to no cable so it was running slow. Pool and spa were murky and not inviting. The area was not clean and there were things in the pool. I hope they were rocks. advertised a bar and resturant on site, there were, but they were not open. When I called desk to ask for a wake-up call, no one picked up the phone. Next day I overslept and did not make my flght. Nothing worked right. Tv had 6 channels. Pool was not open. The main reason I came. No internet. Hotel phone didn't work right. And they had the nerve to hold $50 from me. My card was charged $50 after the roomed was cleared as being in order. It was a deposit that was to be returned (we paid it in cash) , but waited until a few days later to make the charge anyway. Will never stay or recommend this hotel!!!. The nonchalant attitude of the manager after explaining that there were bugs in my room and the cable was out. They tried to say that they were offering free breakfast to make-up for no T.V. but they had complimentary breakfast everyday. The ice machine was broken on my floor. Can't receive inbound calls to your room. The lobby and hallways were uncomfortably hot as it was in the high 90's outside and there was no air conditioning on in those areas. dining room was very cold on Saturday morning. Pool was not available during my stay. There was an erroneous charge of $25. on my bill for a "standard smoking fee." My room was a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor. The front desk clerk was unable to remove the charge. The hotel owner/manager kept his back turned during the entire interchange between the front desk clerk and me about the erroneous charge. The tv did not work the entire time of my stay and the staff was not concerned about that. I did not even get an apology. When I checked out the staff was more concerned about their coworkers then how my stay was. the air conditioning was broke..cable tv didn't work don't think they paid bill.had bed bugs..wanted to charge 5 bucks for breakfast which wasn't very good..elevators broke down..vending machines and ice machines didn't work. The rooms were dirty, no cable, the pool was dirty the fliteration on the pool did not work myself and children all starting itching from the pool, the elevator did not work, the breakfast was bad, the gym had tredmills with broken plugs and did not work well.. This hotel was a sad nasty place I will not ever recommend booking. Com or people to that hotel.. A/c was not working properly. All rooms facing the West are too hot. Tried switching rooms twice, a/c not working in two rooms, other room was not cleaned. Tv was not working. Vending/ ice machine on my floor was not working. Rude and dishonest staff, cock roaches, cable out, no air conditioner.
