  Upon arrival our room had been mistakenly assigned to another guest. The desk staff worked diligently to find another for our first night. Upon checkout, without my asking my bill had been lowered and the hotel had taken the initiative. We all mistakes. Smart suites admitted it and did something to compensate. Thank you. The manager James was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and met any request we had. He went above and beyond. both in terms of service and professionalism.

  The room was very well decorated and had all the amenities that made it a perfect stay. I was able to cook my own food which is a plus when staying for more than a couple of nights.   We stayed here for skiing and snowshoeing. 10 minute drive to Stowe Mountain and snowshoeing/hiking trails (could also have snowshoed right from the resort). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice looking Fitness/Conference building including indoor pool, hot tub and sauna (used sauna aft - We loved the location...close to the mountain and close to the town area for shopping,eating and evening outings.Very helpful and friendly staff..all in one resort broken up for quiet times without kids running by your room for the couples that had no children.

  Host's hospitality is unbeatable. Cottages are very clean inside despite being very old. We got to travel back in time to see how people had lived in these cottages. There is a small pond in the property that has fish, tadpoles and frogs, certainly a sight to keep the young ones engaged for a long time. Despite a full capacity, there was no delay in service, and late night or early morning requests were diligently attended to. I would recommend Families with small children anytime.

  We rented a one room cabin. The cabin had everything we needed. The gas fireplace was nice and heated up the room perfectly. The grounds are large and there is plenty of room to walk and enjoy the outdoors.   We liked the fact that it was pet friendly. We stayed in the Pico room which had a door to the back yard to take our dog out, very convenient! Loved the antiques all over the Inn. Breakfast was basic but just enough to get you going in the morning. Secluded yet close enough to other towns and attractions.
