  The location is great. Right by the water and in a 'real' part of the island. Don't take any notice of reviews that say the neighbourhood is unsafe. It is a working area and there are fishermen with gear etc. It's real!! Staff at the resort are very helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Breakfast is fine too, fruit, cereal and waffles etc. OK, this is not Honolulu, but that's why we chose it... quiet, away from the main drag... if - It was only a 5-10min walk to the Seven Eleven, and Mike’s Hulu Chicken truck and a grocery store where you can also buy alochol and foods. The room had hot plates and a microwave and kitchen. So that was more than fine. The scenery was just magnificent. The water and beautiful rich green mountains with mist. I loved the fact that it was so far away from Wakiki. (Too busy for me). My studio room was enormous and my bed was very comfortable.

  The Hilton Hawaii is a very grand and posh hotel. So obviously expensive. Facilities are very good. 8 swimming pools. Eateries. Shopping mall. Grocery etc. easily available. Beach is poor and stony. You can stay in the hotel and enjoy. Ocean view rooms are the best especially the views f - Got upgraded to a king bed corner room top floor of an ocean front tower. Staff were all excellent and friendly. Service was typically American with high standards. All very approachable. The rooms and resort we're clean and tidy all the time. Very child friendly, with movie nights for the kids and plenty of water activities and also a kids club for the younger ones. Best hotel beachfront location on Waikiki. We travelled there in October.   I liked the friendly staff, the pool area was beautiful, the nice pineapple towel design was a nice touch, the room/bathroom was nice and clean, nice walk to beach.

  Very helpful owner, on site. Provided recommendations for places to eat, beaches to go to, other adventures. Also made sure he was around to say goodbye when we left. Far enough from Hilo, but close enough to get there in 20 minutes. Comfortable living spaces.
