The location is great. Right by the water and in a 'real' part
of the island. Don't take any notice of reviews that say the
neighbourhood is unsafe. It is a working area and there are fishermen
with gear etc. It's real!!
Staff at the resort are very helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Good to have the pool, canoes and snorkelling gear available

It was only a 5-10min walk to the Seven Eleven, and Mike’s Hulu Chicken truck and a grocery store where you can also buy alochol and foods. The room had hot plates and a microwave and kitchen. So that was more than fine.
The scenery was just magnificent. The water and beautiful rich green mountains with mist. I loved the fact that it was so far away from Wakiki. (Too busy for me).
My studio room was enormous and my bed was very comfortable.

Loved the location, handy to supermarket.Across the road from International Market Place, free pink trolley stop out front.staff very helpful. No problem with lifts. Recommend . Will stay again.close to everything . Market going end of year,what a mistake, will miss the best atmosphere. Good luck -

Location and price. Accommodations were ok. Not fancy but comfortable.
Room large, bath tiny,mattress comfortable, tv new. Staff very nice.
Across from abc store and room had fridge so didn't have to go out

I originally did not pick because it looked somewhat shady but when I arrived to HNL and saw what it looked like. I booked a reservation.

The hotel is lovely, nice rooms, comfy bed. They gave us a complimentary room upgrade for our honeymoon. They are renovating at the moment so I imagine it will be more modern look in the future. The pool and beach are fantastic and loved the pool bar. Cocktails delicious! -

I thought Rhisa, who checked me in was a wonderful concierge who helped me with all my inquiries and had bell hop take all my treasures up to my room! Davey, the IT person helped me get my Wi-Fi set very quickly! The room I had was in the far side of the main building where it was quite and no problems with getting around. I was very pleased with

I was concerned about the property after reading reviews & was
pleasantly pleased with everything about the hotel. Noise was not an
issue as so many reviewers said. But it is a city so there will be some.
We closed our windows at night & slept well. Great location. Buses
out front. IHop across the street. Staff went out of their way to help
whenever approached. I would stay here again.

Excellent location close to beach and away from the foul street smells and crowds near Outrigger and other hotels. Room 722 was nice with a glimpse of the beach and service staff friendly, excellent and helpful as were the downstairs concierge people. Room comfortable with adequate space for two. -

My partner and I stay at The New Otani Kaimana for 2 nights early April
2013. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When we checked in the lady was
really friendly and we were upgraded to an ocean view room free of
charge which was great. It was last two nights of our 17 night stay
around the various islands so decided to pay a bit more than we had

This boutique hotel is "just right". Not too big, not too small, not too fancy, not too plain: relaxed, casual elegance. The food is excellent. Most of the staff have been there for years. The hotel is at the far end of Waikiki Beach, next to the Nanitorium, across from Kapiolani Park and close to Diamond Head--in short, away from the madness of Waikiki but within walking distance.

The location was excellent. The facility met all of my basic needs and the staff were helpful in all respects. A treat for me was getting bottled water in my room each day! I highly recommend this hotel for average joe traveller! - Excellent value; great location, all the essentials, no frills but we weren't paying for frills.

Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful. Lovely outlook over banyan trees and sweet night twitterings emanated from the birds nesting in the banyans as we slept. Great location for Volcanoes National Park and Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. We did all 3 in one day. Beautiful walk in the gardens opposite the hotel.

The hotel doesn't get very good reviews so we were a little
skeptical about staying here. We were surprised to find the hotel
clean, comfortable, in a great location (wished we had booked for
2 days instead of 1),staff was very friendly and the renovations
were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was very well done. Free parking
was a bonus!

Excellent service, staff always very friendly and ready to help. The beds were very comfortable, the balcony and the panorama were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was always cleaned well.
The location was very convinent, bus service and walking friendly. The breakfast were good (coffee excellent). The lobby was very nice for having coffee and reading the AM paper. Again it was nice and quiet with wee view of ocean, Diamond head and city. Could leave the sliding door open all night.

cleaning staff was nice and friendly, bartender and drinks at Mac
24/7 were great. -
We liked the quite room and the hotel service. The MAC/24 served top of the line meals. The view from our 36 floor Ocean View balcony was terrific.

Free shuttle to and from airport is great. Our room was neat and clean
and the bed was very comfortable. Liked the fact that there was a
laundry room on our floor ( we did one load of wash), and for future
reference noted the microwave, empty refrigerator and coffee maker in

We stayed for one night before continuing on with our vacation. Loved the size of the hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice room, lovely pool area. Enjoyed walking in the area and going to Byron's. We would definately stay here again and will highly recommend it to our friends. We walked thru the Best Western but preferred your hotel, less busy and more personal and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Convenient location near the beach and shopping and restaurants. WiFi in the room enables us to keep in touch with family back in Toronto and fridge and microwave in the room which was very helpful for breakfast. We had a good room with the view of the road but no noise. The Elite concierage and the Bell hop were very helpful in arranging trips and taxi
