  The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the air conditioner in my room making clunking sounds when turned off and I was all prepared to demand a new room, however, after reporting it to the front desk it was fixed by maintenance by the time I returned in the afternoon. Considering the price of other hotels in the area it was good... cosa dice la gente » value. It contained the necessities. - Staff were really friendly and got an upgrade on our room which was nice. Room was massive and had a bit to sit outside although it was just overlooking the street outside. Good watermelon water at reception on a hot day! Close enough to the beach without paying beachfront prices.

  We stayed for 3 nights in February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Terrie (the owner) is very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the local area she provided us with lots of information about what to see and do - and there is quite a lot, stuff you don't read about in the regular travel books. We stayed in the Ohana suite which had a very c... cosa dice la gente » omfortable bed, kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and portable stove top. Everywhere was very clean and the accommodation is in a very peaceful lo - It´s perfect! Our suite was comfortable, clean and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! (Fresh papaya with other fruits and yoghurt, and freshly baked bread or muffins). Location is absolutely wonderful, very tropical. Wifi worked great. Pahoa is a good base to start many excursions, even though it´s on the rainy side of the island.
