A bit too much "work" going on in lobby and out front
throughout the stay - I know such must occur, but perhaps some small
discount/accomodation is in order for those who endure it. Still not
too big a deal for me, but something to think about. Also disappointed
as a gold member that letsbookhotel.com had a cheaper rate than through the
Hilton Honors website - did not understand that

The location in the Garden District was within walking distance of the lovely antebellum mansions and great restaurants. The streetcar was right outside our door. We booked at the Avenue Plaza at the last minute because our reserved hotel room elsewhere had a broken pool. For $10 more a night, the amenities were more than doubled. We were so happy with our stay at the Plaza I will book there every return (business) trip. It is worth not "shopping around" to stay there.

Nice clean hotel within walking distance to convention center, wwii
Museum, buses, streetcar stations. We walked to French Quarter and it
was a nice 10 ~ 15 min walk. Our room had a king bed, sofa and desk
area, kitchen area w/small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a

Hotel is really updated!! Our room was really nice, plenty of room, very comfortable, enjoyed the stay. The one thing i will say i really like was the TV. If you was in bed you can turn the tv towards the bed, if you was on the couch you can turn the tv towards the couch. I love It!!

the rooms were great, clean and quiet with comfortable bedding. superb!!! They were pleasant from the time we checked in up to the
moment we checked out. This was one of my best stay at any hotel and I
have stayed at many hotels. Management did an awesome job in choosing
these employees. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Plus I have

Front desk receptionist were very nice when greeting us.They explained everything about the hotel and locations of things throughout the city. Front Desk personnel, Perry the concierge, the Bartender Eric,
Housekeeping, the ladies who assisted with storing our luggage to the

Room was good, natural light ,view of the street. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was nice in marble.
Staff were very friendly and efficient and helpful with advice on best places to go.We swam in the pool a few timesw and this was a great way to relax tired muscles after a long day of walking around N.O.Pool was very well maintained and nice garden setting.Location was very convenient but quiet street.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is useful, you can
dine in or prepare your sandwiches before a day of visit, an economic
alternative. For the location, it's in garden district so you can

First of all, the location is perfect! We were able to park at the
French Market a block away for $20/day. The owner was super friendly
and helpful, and you could really tell he wanted us to enjoy our stay.

The property is an eclectic mix of old and new but with modern kitchens & comfortable furnishings. The staff were wonderful & gave great suggestions for dinner.
The location is fantastic (in the "no bus zone" of the Quarter, so it's much less noisy than the other end). Also just steps from all types of shopping and dining.
I will definitely stay here again!
