The staff at the Jared Coffin Inn was very helpful and nice. We took a
30 day vacation to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. We stayed in
a variety of hotels and B&Bs'. We traveled to several different
cities and historical sites. When we arrived at the Jared Coffin House
we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Paula Salter who arranged our room so
that we could leave our suitcases and begin our tour of Nantucket. Ms.
Salter was helpful though out our stay. Ms. Erin Maddex was always

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother. the continental breakfast was lovely with delicious coffee cake and quiche. liked everything about this hotel except the stairs but only two flights and baggage was not a problem as the staff were helpful in getting the luggage to the room.
The setting and location were idyllic. This is an old sea captains
mansion set on a cobblestone street, close to the harbor and old fashion
Main Street. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional.
Excellent location, short walk to the ferries and Main street, shops restaurants. Recently remodeled historic inn, rooms, linens were very nice and clean. Comfy bed. Very friendly and accomodating staff.
The friendliness and professionalism of the staff was superb. I
accidentally left my jewellery case in my room and within hours they had
contacted me and it was returned the next day.
Very friendly staff. Great innkeeper with many ghost stories to tell. Delicious home made breakfast. Very clean rooms. Close to ferry terminal. Many fine restaurants nearby.
Super friendly team at the Jared Coffin house that helped us greatly by moving us to a larger room on the first floor as we traveled with our 17 month old daughter.
The History (I'm related to the Coffin family!), location (could walk to everything), staff (great recommendations on dining, etc.), and overall a great stay!.
This was a darling inn and we loved everything about it. The surroundings and furnishings were lovely and the staff was especially helpful and kind.
The downtown location was very convienent to shopping, restaurants, and piers.
The help was very accomidating. The room was very quaint.
The history of the Island and the Jared Coffin House with it's history fits in beautifully. Great location - close to everything.
It's a beautiful old building and the location is ideal--close to shopping, the shore, historical sites.
Staff very nice. Great outdoor patio to read in the middle of town while watching the world go bye.
the workers were wonderfully helpful The inn was beautiful and historic. The location was perfest.
the knowledgeable friendly service, being in the center of town, the historical ambience.
Location is outstanding, we enjoyed our stay - it is an older facility but a fun stay.
Everyone on the staff was VERY friendly and accomodating.
Room was luxurious !!!!.
I actually transferred to the Harbor lofts. Your people made it
very easy.
Very charming decor and atmosphere, very accommodating, friendly staff.
Staff were extremely helpful. Location was great. Very comfortable.
Great staff and wonderful old mansion in the centre of Nantucket.
Awesome hospitality, great communication, amazing decor.

Location, history and lobby.
Location.
We had a fantastic visit. Every person we interacted with at the Jared Coffin was extremely friendly and helpful.
Nothing...it was a perfect 10.
Rooms and beds and bathrooms are small but, cozy and comfortable. My
husband took up most of the bed space. Next time I will bring my
smaller husband.

I would like to see a dining room and/or lounge-bar in the hotel. I
have stayed here previously and there used to be such a facility.
The bathroom was way too small.
I did not like that letsbookhotel.com booked a room for me with a double bed when I specifically requested a room with 2 beds.
Would have been nice to be able to make a cup of tea either in the room or in the lobby.
Very small room with 3 bureaus. Should replace one bureau with a chair. Would improve comfort alot,.
Couldn't stay longer.
No microwave in room, little or no sound proofing (an older facility) - biggest draw back was that we thought we would be staying in the Jared Coffin House but stayed next door - if that was stated we missed it.
A little expensive for what you get.
Leaving.
lack of elevator and small bathroom.
I liked everything but i do have one very minor suggestion. Put another table in the library for those eating cereal for breakfast. Low coffee tables are not ideal.
Bathroom was very bland and simple-- fiberglass shower stall, cheap tiles, Home Depot lavatory, bad lighting. Did not match the high quality of the bedroom.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable
and we were near fire escape door and heard loud banging. I think some guests went out to smoke.
The jc has lost it's charm since the jc of 10-15 years ago. Lobby
was cold, both in temperature and in hospitality. Modern restaurant
leaves me cold, as I remember the old one - with old paintings and
warmth. They upgraded us to room 303, very noisey and no heat
control. Sun was nice. Not with the charm of the old jc with the pub
in the cellar.
No restaurant, no bar, poor breakfast, no cocktail munchies as promised
in brochure.
We liked everything. Just a suggestion to have a full length mirror in the room would be helpful.
