My past experiences in Myrtle Beach were not good and though all hotels were the same. However, my first impression at this hotel will last a long time. Our check in associate, Ashanti was extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. She was great. A call to the room checking on us was a nice touch. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and stocked. View was awesome. Customers were friendly and those who frequent the resort gave good reviews. That with my experience will make me a repeat .

The bottom part of the parking decks were used for bikes only. They had security in the parking garages around the clock. The bike parking is the best there is, bar none. We loved all the pools and lazy rivers. We mostly liked how clean the pools are and well kept up. The staff is super friendly and everyone is very helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. We will be going back to stay at Compass cove. This place is great!!!. The hotel is very nice. I liked the fact we put out do not disturbie sign on the door and the front desk called in to check on us anyways. The parking deck was level with what floor we stayed on. Great location I think I found my families new vacation spot :). We had a short weekend trip and didn't want to leave. All the pools to choose from were great. This will be the place we stay from now on when we visit myrtle beach. Only issue was the elevators, it was hard to get one but hey we got alot of exercise :). My wife & I just wanted to get away for a week of rest & relaxation & that's just what we got at Compass Cove.The room was great/w an oceanfront view,very clean & spacious for a very good price.We will definitely go back again next year. Cabana style room on the first floor was great! Easy access to the pool and beach with two little ones was great. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Compass Rose. Friendly staff. Clean room with good housekeeping. Family Friendly my 5 yr old had a blast!. The location of the rooms to the beach was great! The Oceanfront view was excellent! The room arrangements were great. They provide towels for Beach use. They provide grills for cooking out by the pool, which was a great addition. we loved all the pools and we always had one available for our almost 2 year old to swim in without being splashed by other kids. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The beach access is excellent. There was activities for all family members even me as a senior. As a matter of fact, I was surpried with an upgrade which excited my family. The ocen view was breath taking for me. Children loved the water slides attached to the indoor pool. They also liked there were numerous pools and lazy rivers they could pick from to play in between the two buildings. My wife and I enjoyed everyday we were at compass cove. Very kid friendly waterslides, and kids pools. Everything was perfect for our stay. Thanks compass cove. We will be back. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great. There was a variety of pools to choose from. They offered free DVD rentals. The restaurant was open late. I like the closeness to the beach. The choices of pools that were available and the availability of restaurants at Compass Cove. I enjoyed my oceanfront room. towels were replenished daily; location; many pools to choose from; staff were friendly. We liked the location, the cleanliness of the resort and the friendly, courteous staff. Also for families the activities for children and young adults. They had different pools, where I could enjoy and my grandson could enjoy also. Grounds were well kept up. Easy beach access.. Parking was great. The location pool lots of things for the kids to do close to activities in Myrtle Beach over all it was good stay I would do it again.3 1/2 stars. We had a nice oceanfront room , with sink and frig. The room was nice and big clean. We would go there again. Jeanne Connell. Accommodations were clean and centrally located. The indoor pools were greatly appreciated during the winter visit. Everything was very clean. Having an ocean-front room, plus being able to move up one floor to be able to see the ocean and to have more comfortable beds. Nice location. The staff was friendly and efficient and the housekeeping was excellent! It was nice to have an oceanfront room with a great view!. The facilities were exceptional, the staff was awesome. The water parks/pools were great. They even upgraded my room for free!. Amazing hotel, the staff were wonderful. I can not wait to go back to this hotel and enjoy all of the great views and pools!. Nice tiki bar that was poolside. We thoroughly enjoyed everthing about our stay. Especially the Fab2 at the little tiki bar. Awesome band!. convience, continental breakfast tiki bar shuffle board nice to have lazy river warm water and clean. I loved all of the different pools across the grounds. This kept the resort from feeling so crowded. I loved the view from our room that looked out onto the beach & ocean...it was breath taking!. Nice ocean front veiw and clean. great place to stay for a weekend get away.Very friendly staff. The efficiency in the room so we could cook and not eat out all the time. Fast food gets old. Like the staff and the location. Pool activities for kids Staff very kid friendly Oceanfront access. Compass Cove is a very nice Hotel with lots of pools to enjoy. I liked the tiki bar and closeness of beach and all amenities. Loved the ocean and street view in one! I loved everything!. Everything!! And the staff friendly and helpful I loved it. Most everything. View was great and location also great. The 2 things that stood out was that housekeeping, (though they did a good job cleaning up the room) entered the room when I was not there and the other was the Wi-Fi bandwidth was extremely slow. No complaints, for the money it was fine and I will stay there again for the next Rally. Not one thing did we not like!. Other than the fact people were not tending to their children there wasn't anything I disliked.. Just wish people would read the sign lazy river NO swimming!. stay was too short. Saw a big water bug in te bathroom, but we assumed this was because we were on the first foor. The check in staff were not engaging. I don't recall anyone smiling except the lady offering coupons and attraction information while we were going out of the door. The beds were terrible!! The pillows were so small they could fit in my purse and they were lumpy. We couldn't wait to go home just to get a good nights rest. we had to call to have our room cleaned on all the days we were there. We had to call for towels and trash removal. We had to call for clean sheets. It was a little annoying not to have service without asking for it. P.S. we didn't have the do not disturb sign on the door either. Family wanted more time to stay especially the kids. We did not get an opportunity to take advantage of the special offers. Everything was great!. Laundry room should have a change machine and laundry detergent dispenser. To make your vacation no hassle and easy. The elevators were hot and small. Also, one elevator was not working at all. It was difficult to get the luggage cart onto the elevator at check out because the small elevators were so full and slow. There was no channel guide for the TV. Also, the TV had several snowy channels. That the water did not drain well in the tub, it was very slow causing you to stand in your dirty water while taking a shower. The corners in the room need some attention, their was debris in each one. sheets were not changed during my 4 night stay; housekeeping was inconsistent; elevators were very slow (although there was construction going on). Carpet needs to be replaced. Clean but worn. They need more showers when you come from the beach. The kiddie pool could have been warmer. No real big problems we own a large suv parking is a little tight.We did see a water bug on the last day. The beds in the first room were horrible, sunken toward the middle. The pool and lazy river was not very organized by the staff. Small kids were running and jumping into the lazy river in front of other people which is not allowed. All the pools were small. The pools and jacuzzi areas were not as clean as they should have been! We decided to go elsewhere for our water activities. The only complaint I have was that the box springs on the bed had a cover over them that looked like it had not been washed in a while. They made us change our room two times giving us 3 rooms in 6 nights. The elevators had issues every day. The beds were very uncomfortable. They ran out of soaps on our first night leaving us with only one soap. There was a musty smell in our first two rooms causing me to go buy an air freshener for our room. Having to go home. Oh and the late check in time. although the bathroom floor newly renovated needed cleaning from the work that was done. room 425. I found our room out dated & the bathroom very small. Slow sink and bath drainage in our unit; housekeeping could have been a little more efficient. Indoor hot tubs did not work, rooms were just so-so. Satisfactory, but not top-notch. It wasn't that big of a deal but when looking out there were these walls that restricted us from seeing the whole ocean which was a bummer. When we left it was awful. I waited for 30minutes just to check out & the lady was so rude. not enough pillows on beds, small bath, water temperature adjustments. Had to leave. Kids in lazy river not in tubes. There wasn't anything I disliked. N/A. Policy of allowing pets during off season is terrible. Too many of them and at least a couple of people allowed their dogs to crap next to the elevators. Also, personnel door at parking fa- cility across the street was left unlocked for two days. This is supposed to be a secure area, card entry only.
