  This is a fun hotel. There was a happy hour with a free drink and chips, which encouraged socialising among the guests. Our family suite was big, which made it comfortable travelling with our two-year old. Proximity to the airport was helpful, given our early flight. However we stayed three nights in all, and enjoyed our time. We were nervous about the people density of L.A. and, being walkers, had heard poor reports of the lack of pedestrian-friendly paths and even sidewalks. The hotel location was perfect. It was not only literally surrounded by boats but was right by the coast bike path and close to a number of interesting walks around the largest man-made marina in the world.   Loved the old historic building and location. Everyone was very nice.. I was a bit disappointed that internet access for my own device was an extra charge when it was no extra charge at all the other hotels we stayed at along our trip. Seemed like maybe the were hurting for business but they weren'T. Lots of people there. - I liked the fact that it is an old hotel, which has a lot of class. I have been there before and with a city the size of LA, I feel comfortable with the location. I requested the highest floor possible and the quietest area and my requests were honored.
