It was a last minute booking. Another hotel in 30 miles away could not
provide us a baby crib or a room upgrade. Cedar ocean had a good price
and promised to provide fridge, microwave and breakfast. All that was
important for us. And it did! I could not understand why it had so low
rating: it confused me on booking.
the hotel is very good. beds are very comfortable. rooms are large. formally, there is a beach view: actually, you look on a dune and are able to see the ocean somewhere in 500 yard. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
The desk clerk when we checked in (didn't get his name) was very nice. The desk clerk later (Myron) was AWESOME!!!!! Had some annoying people above us that we're stomping to and from the bathroom but we didn't bother to call the desk cause it was all hours of the night and didn't wanna bother. When we go to Long Beach again we will definitely call Cedars Inn. I would like to thank the staff again for being amazing (specially Myron).
The Manager is exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Both him and his wife are always available and obviously work hard to make guests feel welcome and appreciated as customers.
Well situated; a short walk to both the beach and Main Street with lots of interesting shops and good places to eat.
Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained.
We loved Myron who manages the hotel. He is the best!!! Myron was so
helpful and accommodating. When my husband accidentally pushed the
coffee maker button and thinking it was coffee, Myron took it humorously
and in stride. He never missed a beat. The room was awesome. The view
was awesome. We were treated like royalty.
The staff were wonderful especially Myron. I liked the location we could walk almost everywhere. Service was very good & no problem getting things I needed. Breakfast was good. Clean & no odors.
I liked the fact it had such a good view. The room was spacious, not new, but clean. The beds comfortable, and just a good plain room. I liked the fact that it was a nice comfort palce.
The young man who was on staff was very nice and helpful. We liked the location. Walking distance to beach and shopping. Room very clean. Beds were comfortable.

The first night the main power switch to the heater was off so room was cold. Continental breakfast wasn't set up early in the morning. And staff person at front desk was never in office. And room wasn't ready by three and wasn't ready till after four.
We didn't have a breakfast as advertised. The coffee pot in the room was broke, the screen came off the window and the toilet seat needed to be replaced.
As much as you can tell they are trying, the place needs updating.

They offered a continental breakfast, but I had no idea what time they
did this. Nothing posted. I went down on several occasions and the lobby
doors were locked. I was told later that there was a side door. The room
needed some repairs. No coffee maker in the room, toilet seat cracked
which could possibly cause a injury. Employees doing mowing and weed
whacking until 8:30 at night. They need to post times for things that
occur and a sign saying use side door if the lobby door is locked.
room & especially bathroom were dirty. They were cleaned but toilet, shower, sink & linoleum had dirty stains . Couple of towels were dirty. T.V. was old & didn't work.
grossly dirty rooms. No a/c. The fridge couldn't even keep drinks cold. The tv was so small an out dated. The bedding was gross. I would never stay there again.

only one wall heater worked, and it was in the 40's, the beds were hard, the carpets were not clean.
One person, running everything. Bathroom dirty and run down. Breakfast: Waffle iron wouldn't open and burned my daughters waffle. Had to call on the lobby phone, for help. Ivan just said to unplug it. He never came to fix it, before we were done. No garbage can in lobby, to put breakfast plates/cups in. No attendant at front desk. Had to use lobby phone to contact someone.
A lot of deffered maintenance. Rooms need complete remodel. Dirty frayed carpet. Bathroom awful. Tub and toilet need replacing.
I didn't even get a shower curtain.
I recently sent you a letter. Not satisfied at all. Room wasn't
ready, we were moved to another one after waiting. Room was not
clean, dust all over and I picked up a pillow and dust went all over
and down my throat. It was disgusting. Hair all over the shower. Was
not a good stay.
