The hotel is just across the Metro train station and Washington is just a 15-minute ride away.
Alexandria itself is a nice town with some 18- & 19-century homes and lively cafes and restaurants lining up King St., so you won't feel at the evening being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Location is excellent as one can catch the Metro or the King Street Trolley right across the street from the Hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and staff members were mostly accommodating and helpful

We liked that the hotel was convenient to the Metro as well as local
Trolly and bus service. Breakfast was good. Rooms were comfortable
and quiet. -
The location, food, hospitality, willingness to accommodate when we
arrived early.

The staff was simply wonderful... so nice and so professional... the room was spacious, the in room dining great, the bed was very comfortable.. i had a very good experience - The helpfulness of the staff and accomodation of everyone. The rooms were very nice.

I found the staff to be some of the most helpful and friendly people we
have ever met. One of the managers, Cindy, treated our family like we
were vip. It was such a pleasure to stay there. After reading the
reviews on TripAdvisor we booked and asked for certain things based on

1. Location to public transportation. 2. Proximity to the national mall.
3. Historic area of Alexandria. 4. Two meals a day (!). 5. Strong
police presence @ Metro/Amtrak/DASH. 6. Availability of three
computers (I didn't bring my laptop) 7. You had many amenities
available which we did not utilize. 8. I wouldn't hesitate
recommending Res Inn Duke St.

It's closed to Eisenhower metro station that will take you conveniently anywhere in DC. The receptionist named Ron is very helpful on explaining on how getting around in DC. Guest washing machine & drier are available & free. Indoor swimming pool is also great for the kids. -

Great location in Old Town. Can't beat the service and attention to every detail. Place of choice every time we come to that area. And the piano bar is the very best in all of DC area. Great way too end an evening listening to great musicians and local talent from the area. -

Clean and comfortable kind bed. Quite environment. They provide us the metro and all other kinds of maps required. The guy who checked us in was helpful, who recommended us to visit the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and which we did. Thanks. -
