Both my son and I had a wonderful stay at The Robert Treat Hotel. I use to live in Newark many years ago and have been in Florida for over 20 years so it was absolutely fantastic to stay at this hotel which i knew of since I was a little girl. The staff was beyond helpful!! Gave us great advice on the best ways to get around, there was a free shuttle to Newark penn that picked us up for free at almost 2 am, the guards on the night shift went out of their way to show us the roof patio ( under their supervision!!!) even though it was about to be locked up for the night, and the ladies who set out the breakfast meal were so kind- no weird looks for my strange food requests and pajama clad self, and without even asking they helped me car

In two words : it is a brilliant hotel with an impeccable service and a very friendly and helpfull staff. There was a free shuttle to the station and to the airport !
I would recommend this hotel to everyone who goes to NYC ! I will go back again asap ! -

Very convenient for the airport. Does just what is needed for a transit hotel. It's clean and comfortable. Have rated it highly for location because of the airport. It is not in a good position for other purposes! -

We stayed here one night because of the proximity to the airport for an early morning flight. The rooms were comfortable and the cafe open all day when we needed it. Location was good because of the airport - but that is all that is there. You really couldn't do anything else in that vicinity. The shuttle coming and going to the airport was co

I would often stop at the little restaurant in the evenings inside the hotel to have a bite to eat, which I was greatful for being open late!

big comfortable room. very accommodating staff. but the best is the shuttle service to newark penn station--free in morning rush every hour and come pick you up 24 hours on call for reasonable fee per room, not per person. let us leave car for an extra day in their lot for free!
