  We were upgraded to a king sized bed in a room with a whirlpool tub and gas fireplace. It was a perfect setting for us as we had been hiking all day and we were ready for a comfortable bed and a good soaking! - Staff was the most friendly and helpful of any place I've ever stayed in CO.   I loved the new carpet and soft, wonderful new beds. The atmosphere of the entire place was excellent. Loved the free water for outings, the snacks (though we didn't take any), and the uniquely real people who staffed the front desk. Each one was genuinely a kind, considerate person! Loved them! We stayed there 6 nights, and though that's a long time, we got 6 memorable, pl - The staff was awesome. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and gave us great insight into the local dining locations. The lobby featured a eraser board that "ranked" the local eateries and that was very helpful. The young lady who checked us out was most gracious and accomadating and even loaded us up with extra granola bars for the day.   I loved how close the lodge was to downtown Estes Park. My girlfriend and I walked down to Kind Coffee (great atmosphere, awesome place) and did some shopping at the little stores. Also, only a 5 minute drive from Rocky Mountain national park. Great price for a great location. It's a bit of a dive, but totally like something out of Northern Exposure. If you're super picky and high end, you may be disappointed, if you are easy going, this is the place without a doubt. Great views, super sweet staff.

  Loved the location right in downtown. The room was exceptionally clean and the sheets and towels were luxurious. Also, the room was very spacious for a motel room. The gas fireplace was a bonus that took the chill out of the room our first night. Would definitely go back here. - The bed was very comfortable! Bathroom was nice.
