Well maintained hotel. Extremely friendly staff - allowed me to check in early. Beautiful setting on the river, convenient to Rocky Mtn National Park. Nice, large room with couch in sitting area. Small balcony off the back of the room - made for a nice cross breeze. Fridge in room was nice for keeping snacks and drinks. Nice selection of complimentary snacks and homemade cake in lobby. hope to return again soon.

The staff was awesome. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and
gave us great insight into the local dining locations. The lobby
featured a eraser board that "ranked" the local eateries and
that was very helpful. The young lady who checked us out was most
gracious and accomadating and even loaded us up with extra granola
bars for the day. The hotel was not cheap by other towns standards,
but compared to other charges in the Estes Park area it was a value.

We were there for an 18-person family reunion. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with regard to meals, rooms, and the like. The rooms were generally comfortable, although the sofa beds were less so. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and the children loved them. The lodge was close enough to town so that we c

letsbookhotel.com did not the the rooms correct. We were looking to stay in a
suite and the lodge does not have a suite. All the rooms have a
different floor plan as well but, the caretaker was more than happy to
take care of us and even lowered our rate!

The location is great, very close to town without being in the middle of the crowds. The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. That said, what puts the Maxwell Inn over the top is the care and attention of Phil and Dana. Twin Owls faces a rock formation that looks like two owls and that's all that matters. it's sitting at a gorgeous spot just outside the bustling heart of the town of Estes. It's a bit of a dive, but totally like something out of Northern Exposure. If you're super picky and high end, you may be disappointed, if you are easy going, this is the place without a doubt. Great views, super sweet staff.

It was an excellent place especially for the price. We were only there for one night so it didn't need to be spacious. We were in town for a wedding and when we traveled to the wedding sight we saw plenty of Elk! We even bought the painting that was on the wall we liked it so much! We live in Virginia but I spent the first 25 years of my life as a Coloradoan and we were very excited to buy a painting with Aspens to add to our Virginia home.

This is a really great value. It's not fancy, but it is CLEAN and the surprisingly spacious. The continental breakfast has everything you might want and although I know the managers didn't do this on purpose, I thought it was so cool that when we came out for breakfast, there was a wild elk just hanging out on the grass area.
