This Bar Harbor bed and breakfast features uniquely decorated guest rooms with free Wi-Fi access. A continental breakfast is served every morning. Acadia National Park is 4 miles away. Staff really knew the area well. They were ready with restaurant suggestions and willing to make reservations on the spot. Ready to just be friendly and they were truly welcoming! Also - our son lives locally and they welcomed him for breakfast one morning - no charge. And it's a yummy local breakfast!. Staff was very helpful, especially explaining what attractions in Acadia NP were accessible during the government shutdown. Very comfortable bed. Quiet room. Within comfortable walk of dozens of retaurants, a grocery store, specialty shops and the waterfront.

Very nice room (#15) In-room refrigerator. Excellent remote control heater/air conditioner. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way. Lovely people. The room was very spacious. The location is very convenient to the town and also the park. There is ample free parking. The proximity to downtown Bar Harbor was great. Their restaurant list was a nice jumping-off point for eating in the area. The staff was always polite and happy to help us or answer questions. It was very comfortable and homelike...we truly felt relaxed even though it was for only 2 nights...breakfast was very good .....walking distance from shops and restaurants and just lovely. No desk (I like to write, do "paperwork") -- I compensated by going down to living room and breakfast room. No box of Kleenex in room. **But to be sure, the "positives" far outwighed the "negatives". The place needs a face lift. The look is quite dated and there are lots of artificial flowers. Also, I was very surprised that there is no daily housekeeping services. We were asked if we need more towels, which were cheerfully provided but the room wasn't cleaned during our stay. The room we booked was on the third floor, which we would have avoided given the option since it meant having to go up two flights of very narrow stairs. The room was listed as having a Jacuzzi tub but when we checked out the bathroom it was a regular tub. No complaints... nothing. Nothing. Suite layout awkward and very small, no windows for natural light (except those onto public porch), no room for personal items, no available plugs for charging phones etc, and broken ceiling fan. The bed was a little hard for our taste. Hard to find anything not to like but if pressed the breakfast was a little slim for a B&B and no ice available evenings that we could find. Nothing not to like. Dark room, would have liked a window that got light. Parking Breakfast facility Should have coffee available in the evening. We were right by kitchen and sitting room which made it noisy at times...may choose another room next visit. accommodations were not comfortable...we reserved late & I think got the last room available.
