  An extremely comfortable and stylish apartment, lovely and warm with easily adjusted gas boiler. The layout of the room with the Mezzanine bed space was excellent. Staff were polite and helpful - my lack of Ukranian/Russian was easily overcome even by those who did not speak much English.   I just spent a week at SPA Hotel Maristella (Oct. 11-18). This hotel is very close to the beach so the location is ideal for warm and swimming weather. It was already too cold for that, so I spent most of my free time taking taxis to the city. That's about 20 minutes away and about $10 each way.   My stay at this hotel was the most pleasant of surprises in my 40 plus years of traveling. Looking for a hotel in a strange city, I was referred online to several hotels that friends in Odessa warned me away from. I got onto the London and my friends did not know anything negative, so I booked there. From \my arrival, I was very pleased. It is somewhat dark at the front desk, but very elegant with a lot of mahogany and granite; like an old schoo - We stayed in a lovely suite with a balcony overlooking the park. The hotel was beautifully decorated throughout and the staff were very friendly, responsive and had good English language skills (always a bonus!) Breakfast was great with a variety of options for everyone. We also had a small celebration in the restaurant - the food was absolutely delicious, especially the seasonal specialties and the Indian cuisine. We had a fantastic time in Odessa and will be definitely coming back!
