  The hotel was beautiful, the setting lovely. There was a wedding taking place but we were warned. However, it would have been good if we could have eaten something at the hotel. Maybe ordered takeaway if nothing else! The staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful (especially Russell who appeared to be on duty throughout our stay!) Also the rooms were not too hot as in other hotels we have stayed in - The room we stayed in was a gold room, clearly refurbished to a high standard. Luxurious room with a view out over the gardens and down to the sea. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Ideally placed for a five minute walk down into the harbour where there is a range of bars and clubs. There is a slight hill walk down and back up to the hotel but we didnt find it that bad although it could be for the less agile. All in all a fantastic stay and we will definitely stay again.

  I booked a one week stay, B&B in a single room hoping for a relaxing holiday after a busy few months at work. On arrival check in was easy and very friendly. Then came the part I had dreaded. (As a single traveller, on occasions rooms elsewhere have been little more than a broom cupboard with a view of the bins...!).   I stated at the heritage sept 23rd for 3 nights.All the staff where very helpful & polite especially the breakfast waiter(he was as good as any tourist info center)!The views where fantastic.My room was spotless on arrival,as was the whole hotel.The pool was lovely to relax in.The bar is lively,but as a solo traveller it was just what I wanted... cosa dice la gente » .They even put FREE hot food on the bar during one of the matches.Simple things,but they cared about their customers.If you prefer a lifeless quiet ba - The location was ideal for what we needed i.e. searching for a holiday apartment in the Torbay area. The room was good sized, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I think we had a recently refurbished shower room which was very smart. We had a magnificent view of Torbay across to Brixham.   Bishops Court Hotel is really genuinely beautiful old fashioned hotel and generally a really nice place to stay. Both me and my girlfriend couldn't find a single thing to gripe about, the entire place is beautifully furnished and clean, the room and the hotel generally has a very welcoming feel and the staff are very friendly and proffessional.
