I booked a one week stay, B&B in a single room hoping for a relaxing
holiday after a busy few months at work. On arrival check in was easy
and very friendly. Then came the part I had dreaded. (As a single
traveller, on occasions rooms elsewhere have been little more than a

Breakfast had ever -
The idea of four hotels and facilities accessible to every resident and not even having to get wet or cold (march 2013)brr! Staff very very helpful from Theresza on reception to Janette in housekeeping and all other members of the TLH team.Many Thanks again!!

There were excellent facilities at the hotel (swimming pool, games area etc) and plenty to keep our children occupied. The rooms were very clean and well serviced and the hotel is in a great location, near to Torquay town and beach, but in a quiet area. -

I liked the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym. My wife was also impressed with the spa treatments.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

The reception was very welcoming and warm when we arrived. The food was good, we didn't have to wait long for it. The spa was wonderful and the fact that you could walk all around the complex without going outside, really appealed

Really enjoyed our stay there - staff were extremely helpful and well mannered. The service at the dinner table was very attentive without being intrusive. We found that the staff were very friendly and made you feel at home, we also had a good laugh with them and they made us feel that they had known us for a very long time,also they were very helpful if you needed to ask any questions. -

Ferndale hotel is on its own nestled high up on a ledge surrounded by trees making it a very cosy romantic place to stay just what we wanted and the four poster room number 6 was clean and the bed was beautiful and comfortable. Lovely hosts and staff made the stay at the hotel very enjoyable. Very good breakfast in the morning too.
Also, good size room for a solo traveller, double bed. A really pleasant stay and I am looking forward to staying there again.

We loved the stay at this hotel. It is located in a beautiful location. The restaurant had views of the bay/seafront. Our room was located on Belgrave rd, so we had wonderful views of the gardens in Abbey Park. The breakfast was wonderful and very comprehensive! My 4 yr old son wanted to buy the hotel (we were in Torquay viewing properties). -
