The Kings Arms was an excellent place to stay. The bedroom was large, very clean with nice comfortable beds. The manageress (Molly) was lovely and did everything to make our stay memorable. Nothing to dislike. Very quiet village. Food brilliant and service efficient. Very clean. Not too far from the Lake District or Scotland for that matter. We shall stay there again and probably as an overnight stay on our journey to Scotland. We will definitley recommend the Kings Arms to our friends.

Angie the owner greeted us and was very helpful telling us of walks in the area. Food was excellent and the bar had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The poached eggs for breakfast were superb. A wonderful place to break our journey on the way to Scotland could have done with a longer stay.
