This is a small hotel right opposite the station in Shrewsbury. My train was due to arrive at 9:30pm, but was delayed. I advised the hotel that I was going to be late, and they stayed specially to let me check in. I suspect that they make most of their money in the bistro and bar. The room was clean. The manager couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, from taking my case up the stairs for me (I've a heart problem) to giving maps, tourist advice, etc. The food in the bar was a good price and plentiful. Lots of hot water, an excellent shower and a warm and comfortable room. Great value for money.
It was very convenient for Shrewsbury castle and for visitors arriving by train. It had easy access to the main shopping centres. It was clean and friendly with a very comfortable bed. A wholesome breakfast was available in the morning for a little extra. The staff were very helpful.
Everything that you could wish for in a single room.....I intend to stay there again......and would recommend the Hotel to any one.I have never seen such a clean hotel and the help given by the manager was wonderful at a difficult time for me....
I chose it for the location, which was just as described - right
opposite the station. It's a notably clean and well appointed
hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. A good experience from start

The manager/owner was very helpful - gave us a good recommendation for dinner on our first night The bar stocked an impressive rum collection :-) and the location suited our purpose.

Very friendly & attentive manager / owner - obviously just had a refurbishment and very pleasant inside - now could do with sprucing up outside to make it more inviting.
What a hidden gem!! Go through the door of the unprepossessing facade and you will find a fabulous welcome, great designer decor, cosy bar/restaurant area and fab rooms!.

lovely friendly and efficient staff. the room was freshly refurbished and cosy. breakfast was freshly cooked and really nice, we did not need lunch that day!!.
The location was tops, being close to both railway and bus stations and close to the town. The room had good decor and modern feel about it and very clean.

I had requested a quiet room but got one directly on the very busy
street between the hotel and station. My room was on the top floor, two
flights up, with no elevator.

Shower curtain in raised shower area but hey that's trivia!.
Although spotlessly clean, shower curtain was very 'clingy' (very minor point in an otherwise really nice stopover).
The room was a little bit small but ok for a single person.
