Cliffhall is located overlooking the Shanklin coastline, boasting uninterrupted panoramic sea views. This family-run Victorian style property, containing many original features, offers a fantastic garden and outside space, bar and dining room with wonderful sea views. All rooms at the Cliffhall have an en-suite bathroom, a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms have far-reaching views of the sea and coastline. Two ground floor rooms feature their own sun terrace. The Cliffhall serves a full buffet-style breakfast, with vegetarian, fish and omelette options. An a la carte breakfast may be available in the lower season.There is a lunch menu available throughout the summer months. The outside sun terrace offers seating, sun beds, and games facilities. The bar has further games and a TV area. With fantastic sea views, the garden is ideal for relaxing in with an early evening drink. The local sailing club is only 5 minutes away. The charming, historic gorge of Shanklin Chine, established in 1817, is less than half a mile from the property. Trade ferry rates can be arranged with a discount for guests.

it was very clean in our rooms also a lovely sea view that we asked for towels changed everyday breakfast was well organised and very polite staff come round tables to ask you if you wanted tea or coffee and toast then you helped yourself to hot breakfast or you could order omelettes or kippers when you go in all in all this is a very good hotel will go back to made you feel very welcome thank you for a lovely stay weather was great was hot and sunny like being abroad we stayed from 19th to 2.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was lovely and views across the bay were great. Shanklin village is a short easy walk away, as is the beach and seafront. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, food was really good pub type food. Beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were very clean and tidy, tea and coffee facilities were good, with hot chocolate option. Garden and pool were lovely too. Would go back - my partner says the breakfast was a highlight for him. Very very courteous staff, nice breakfast, spacious rooms with all the amenities, easy access to the shanklin seafront, heated pool, well equipped bar and a great homely feeling. And I wont forget to mention the fantabulous omelette being served to us in the breakfast. We received a very warm and professional welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The room we were in was the quietest l have ever stayed in, the hotel,one of the friendliest with a lovely family atmosphere and ideally located. I went with my mum, 86. Staff were extra special caring. Hotel would be a must in the summer. Views and location of the beach fantastic. I walked down to and along the prom. Outside pool a bonus. All off it . Most things. the hotel is on a steep hill but there is a lift down to the beach so no problem there is abit of noise from the doors of bedrooms when you shut them but that is not a big problem. The hotel was a little shabby and in need of a bit of paint inside and out, some chips in the woodwork etc. which made it feel a little less nice than it was! The shower wasn't up to much, very weak flow, but to be expected with a mixer. Got very warm in the conservatory in the morning - to the point we were sweating whilst having breakfast in our allocated seats. Only thing I found lacking was the shower pressure, nothing else. There is nothing l could fault. Unfortunately the weather was overcast and we had some rain early evening. Thank goodness for the warmth of the hotel. The decor was quite old fashioned with the en suite bathroom overdue for a refit. bathroom could have been clean better. View from Hotel room. nothing. Only one flaw that I can think of, but more a flaw for him than me. That was that the outside of the hotel seems to be in need of a good lick of paint and first impression was that it wasn't going to be nearly as nice as it actually turned out to be inside. Someone walking around looking for a hotel rather than booking online might walk on by which is a shame because it is a really good hotel. The decor of the rooms is a bit dated, but the lobby, bar, view and terrace compensate for this. Low powered shower. Nothing. The shower had low water pressure. Would have liked a varied / more imaginative evening meals choice to enable us to eat in for dinner, rather than going out. Bedroom badly needs updating, although views were excellent. only small problem was the shower, very little pressure.
