Stayed here for a night over the bank holiday weekend and have to say the whole stay was fantastic. We were lucky enough to get the Bass Rock room which surprise surprise has amazing views of Bass Rock! It also has a large comfy bed, great shower/ensuite and direct access to the deck. There's a fridge in the room to chill a bottle of wine for drinking on the deck.
The accomodation is located on a beautiful bay with a path down to a lovely secluded beach.

Gareth was an excellent, charming and affable host.
The room - 4- was very comfortable and tastefully furnished.(the 'detached' en suite was managed very well and we appreciated the robes)
I have a thing about white cotton sheets and towels and Fraoch House gets first prize! Excellent!
My cooked breakfast of smoked salmon, cream chees and bagel was delicious! Just right :-)
My husband went for the full Scottish and he was equally pleased.
All the other usual breakfast fare very well presented

Really enjoyed our stay - you could not meet a nicer or more genuine couple than Dot and her husband. The room was really nice with a lovely shower and big tv. Breakfast each morning was brilliant and had a nice choice of a fry or continental. The location is a bit outside the city centre (about £8-10 for a taxi at night) but during the day there

The room was spacious, lovely big bed, bathroom was fab, very clean and very comfortable.The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is outside of the city but the bus stops every 5 mins just outside of the hotel so its ideal and you avoid the heavy parking charges for staying in the centre. Breakfast was good with a hot and cold buffet available. We would definatley stay here again.

Friendly staff & room (No,10) was clean, bright & comfortable with nice touches to enhance its ambience (sweets, tea/coffee & cushions on the bed). Room overlooked a shrubbery & had benefit of afternoon sun.Bathroom was excellent. Good choice at breakfast. Good location within walking distance from shopping area & restaurants. Would use again & would recommend

I loved the fact that even though there were many other guests you still felt like you were " King of the Castle".
Heaps of room.
Beautiful scenery.
Snooker room is a highlight.
Watching your son try and chase down a rabbit on the front lawns was amusing ....and never going to happen!

The staff/owners were quite cordial and accommodating.
The room was quite adequate, clean and above the usual B&B. I quite like that a tea pot was available in the room. Breakfast was a wonderful assortment. I had looked at other bookings, am so delighted to have chosen this one. -

The owner is maybe a little eccentric, but this only added to the overall enjoyment.

The location is fantastic, just 100 meters from Haymarket station and also easily accesible from the airport. Besides, the main attractions are also located within walking distance. No sweat!
The room and its facilites were good enough: great enough, featuring coffee machine and free wifi as well. Needless to say, the room was clean.

The attention of the staff to make sure you were settled in.
The staff had put on the heating in the room in advance so it was lovely and warm.
I was leaving before breakfast started and they had laid out cereal and toast making facilities to use.
They have spent a lot of money on new carpets and upgrading bathrooms to make them clean and very fresh.
Very strong and secure wi-fi
Puts a lot of the big brands to shame

Gentilezza dello staf - I enjoyed my stay at the County Hotel, The room was lovely, The heating was on and the room was cosy. The bathroom was great, bath and shower, heated towel rail also. The food was great and their cafe seemed to be doing a roaring trade for the locals.friends have also eaten here and recommended it. Everything was very nice.
