Staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Rooms are well appointed with everything you need. TV with loads of channels, tea/coffee, iron, hair-dryer, alarm clock and phone.
Bathrooms usually have bath with shower over but I have had a room with just the shower which is fine for me. Towels are really big and fluffy which earns brownie points from me.
Bar area is comfy and bar staff lovely. Had lunch here which was very tasty altho a bit pricey for a sandwich
I only used restaurant for breakfast

During my booking I added a note to say that I intended to propose during my stay.
When we arrived at the hotel the staff advised that they'd upgraded us to a business class suite on the top floor. The room and the view was fantastic. Champagne was sent up and it set the scene perfectly to pop the question.

It is great that there is parking adjacent to hotel. - Have stayed in a few Mercure hotels now, including Carcassonne and Cologne and cannot fault this chain of hotels. This is definately my favourite chain. As for the Holland House in Cardiff i was a fantastic experience, with great facilities and lovely rooms! 10 out of 10!

We had an amazing stay. The room was lovely, spacious and spotless. We had a very nice breakfast with plenty of choices. The hotel is very well located, just a ten minutes walk away from Cardiff city centre. Lots of restaurants and amenities close by. The hosts, James and Maria were most hospitable and made us feel welcomed. The room was large, very comfortable and very quiet. The included continental breakfast was varied and excellent quality and the optional hot breakfast was delicious. The townhouse is a comfortable 20 minute walk through a lovely extensive park adjoining a river to the centre of Cardiff. There are a number of restaurants within a five minute walk that cater for all types of food. We will be staying here again if next in

I loved the feel and the surrounding of the manor hotel, it is a very relaxing atmosphere.
A big unique selling point of the hotel for me was the gym.

Fantastic, well appointed accommodation. We were lucky enough to have a south-west facing apartment overlooking the river and enjoyed each evening with a bottle of wine on the balcony. Cardiff is such a small city by square miles that really any location is
a good location. Our apartment was a 5 minute walk to Mermaid Quay which
is very family friendly yet also accommodates a young nightlife. We
walked over their both nights and found many options to eat and drink
at. Overall the apartment was in good condition and our contact person
was very responsive to emails and phone calls.

Super hotel with friendly and accommodating staff who went out of their way to help you and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The hotel is right in the centre of the town and this makes it perfect for short city trips as you can wander in for shopping, sightseeing and food then go back easily and relax!

Lesley and Clive were fantastic hosts.
Our room was to the back of the hotel, and was really quite. It was lovely and clean, and we loved the decor. The homemade cake by their son-in-law was beautiful.

The owners Leslie & Clive made us feel very welcome straight away, our room was lovely and great little touches , was extremely clean, the décor was lovely also. The breakfast was first class, did not need to eat anything until the evening as was too full, the quality of the breakfast was second to none. The hard work that the owners put in was certainly noticeable throughout our stay we will definatly be staying here again and was well worth the long journey from Essex.

Elgar was similar to the first apartment I stayed in with this company
I have stayed in many and I keep returning as I rate them very highly.
I recommend booking more than 1 night to really feel the benefit of a home from home apartment and usually all for the price of a hotel room!

Customer service was amazing. Every member of staff was friendly, happy and helpful and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. In particular the man on reception who booked us in, checked we had a roll out bed and booked us a taxi all in one go and the very cheerful chef! Everyone said hello and smiled. Husband witnessed the hotel manager talking to another resident about an issue and she dealt with it very confidently and professionally. Well done

It was above expectations. We were impressed by the cleanliness and well organized rooms and tidy kitchen. The price was fair in comparison to other hotels. The flat was not tight as compared to most UK hotels and flats. It is an excellent choice for the families. - The apartment was spacious and well decorated, and also conveniently located.
