We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the food was of very good quality. The all you can eat breakfast was suberb. A lovely setting overlooking the river. The Riverside is probably one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in in a long time, and certainly for the price. Excellent leisure facilities, excellent bar, staff were fabulous, rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. I was on a work trip, but i'm seriously going back for another stay with the woman i love. Maybe even the wife.

We stayed in the new Silver Suite - it was extremely comfortable with a most beautiful view across the water.
Needless to say, but the food was magnificently presented and absolutely delicious.
The staff were exceptionally courteous and delightfully friendly. You felt you were staying with friends.

A return visit for 3 nights, after a 16 year gap! The hotel has changed hands since then and is almost unrecognisable from the previous visit. I stayed here by myself for 2 nights. I had a standard single room, which was just what I need with plenty of space too. The beds were comfy, tea and coffee making facilities and some delicious homemade shortbread provided too. I felt very welcome from the minute I stepped through the door, especially as it was the first time I'd stayed away on my own. Nothing was an issue, and with the perfect weather it was pleasant to sit outside in the garden and enjoy a view of Lake Windermere. Service was

The staff made us feel very welcome and worked very hard.
