This was a lovely stay in the Lakes District and we really couldn't have chosen better. We used the B&B as a stop over in our travel from Edinburgh to London and we arrived at 5pm thinking we would head down to the nearest town for a meal, but instead, after the warm invite and lovely hosts we decided to stay and be treated to their evening dinner meal option. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent, the room was spacious, modern, comfortable, clean and lovely. We loved the honesty ba. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
I loved everything about the place. It's location (very close to Scafell Pike, Wast Water, and other great places in the Lake District), it's character, the breakfast, the comfort of the room (it was a huge ensuite room with a nice bath), the honesty bar, and above all, the owners. They are extremely friendly and very helpful. A lovely couple. I definitely recommend this place.
This guest house is very clean. The facilities are good . I stayed in a single room that was exactly fit for purpose. Highlight was the cooked breakfast which I could not fault. The owners are very friendly and accommodating The location is a bit remote but is very handy for Muncaster Castle and it's attractions.
Excellent breakfast in the morning.
Very good wildlife, local woodpecker on the birdfeeders in the garden!
Very comfortable, wood burner in the guest lounge was lovely.
Quiet location with a few pubs/restaurants close by.
Across the road from the lovely Muncaster castle and gardens.
Welcoming and thoughtful staff. Lovely breakfast room with access to garden to watch birds feeding. We saw two woodpeckers. An excellent place for walking in Eskdale using the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
The owners were so friendly and helpful.
Breakfast and the one evening meal we had were superb.
We will certainly recommend the
accommodation and the area.
We only wish we had more time for a longer stay.
Beautiful garden with many birds visiting feeders; friendly hosts; a well decorated and furnished house with soft cotton bedding and lovely comfortable bed; AND ALL SO CLEAN AND WELL KEPT.
The room was very nice and the breakfast was also good. Little bit tight for space in the breakfast area but it did not bother us. Very friendly staff we would stay again.
We could not see any room for improvement and there was a underlying friendliness. We liked the bird feeders outside the widow at breakfast.
Everything! The warm welcome, the superb rooms, the homely feel, the log burner in the living room, the well stocked honesty bar. Wonderful!.
Friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was ever rushed and you were made to feel at ease.
Fantastic Hosts and excellent service.
situation was good for what we wanted.
Excellent friendly place.
The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Parking was spacious and generally easy access and easy to find. Had Sky Sport in the residents' lounge and a wellstocked bar.
Nothing.
The wireless did not work in the annex.
Nothing!!.
nothing!.
Having to leave early and missing a wonderful cooked breakfast.
nothing.
The room lacked any proper table top and while there were 3 mirrors not one went below chest height. The television was very confusing to operate. It was a single room, but felt a bit like a corridor.
