We received a lovely warm welcome by Alf and our room was absolutely gorgeous - very fresh and airy and spacious and with gorgeous views over the River Tay from our bedroom window. I loved how you could tick on a menu the night before what you would like for breakfast - my brie/tomato/bacon rosti was perfection especially as I could eat it whilst watching 2 red squirrels scampering around the garden overlooking the river. the Claymore was a lovely hotel in a lovely position,a few minutes walk from town in a beautiful setting. the perfect place to explore the beautiful scenery surrounding Pitlochry. This place is really a gem. My wife and I stayed at Benvrackie last week
and from all the places we stayed in Scotland this was by far the best.
Colin and Barbara went out of their ways to make our stay pleasant. The
room was new, big, clean and comfortable. And the breakfasts, oh, the
breakfasts. Colin is really a chef (don't miss out on his porridge
with Whisky - highly recommended)

I loved the nice welcome we received from Lucy and Debbie they made us feel really welcome. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was spacious it also had a super shower. The hotel is well situated for a short stroll into the town. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice, but the full Scottish is superb. -

The breakfast was the best i have we have ever had when on holiday, and as we are in our late 60's and have travelled a lot, I think this speaks for itself. Quality, quality and more quality with everything.

This was a pure joy.
Everything about the place oozes class. The place is maintained to excellent standards and really compliments the surroundings.
The décor in the bedroom is done really well, everything matches and really shows the thought and effort the owners have put into making your experience one to remember.

1st class everything was as l would expect, this is the best accommodation l have ever stayed in and l will stay again before to long, the room was beautiful and spotless, the staff was so friendly, the breakfast was just fantastic with such a choice, the grounds are immaculate and you can sit and watch the birds feeding from a lovely lounge area, l also liked the fact that there is an age restriction on the kids, no smoking and especially no animals, honestly can't wait to return

Everything about the hotel was first class. Staff very friendly and helpful, the service at all meals was very efficient and nothing was too much bother - even to making my husband a cooked breakfast earlier than breakfast was normally served. The food was excellent. The atmosphere at the hotel was calm and relaxing and the public areas had plenty of comfortable seating where you could just sit and absorb the beautiful scenery. It is also a short walk into Pitlochry.

It was all lovely! A very warm welcome from the owners who obviously take pride in their guest house and offer their guests everything needed. The bedroom was lovely and comfortable, bright and airy, and everywhere was completely spotless. Everything. This is a classy, charming and yet funky place!
beautifully decorated, very clean, and every staff member was kind and helpful and cheerful.
We were impressed with the breakfast room and beautifully laid out buffet. Hot a La carte dishes came swiftly, you could see through to the kitchen where the cook deftly juggled the pots and pans.
Our room was fabulous, refurbished to a modern high standard, with a stand-out bathroom/ shower (a rarity in the UK in our experience).
